Hello everyone.

I am new to the community and just wanted to say ‘hello’.

I was only diagnosed with fibromyalgia today after all other tests were clear. So I hope to learn much from other sufferers of this chronic and painful disorder.

Thank you for reading and my best wishes to you all.

Hello Battler 29. I only joined this community a few weeks ago and am already finding it very useful with much information to help.

Also just knowing that others out there know what it’s like to have fibromyalgia is a great source of comfort and support.

I hope you will find help here .

Best wishes to you .

I just joined up a few weeks ago I would like to say I am glad to see you in the fybroArmy but I'm not. It's nice in here though, other than myself there are no nutters and there is loads of information flying about.

Hello Battler. Welcome to the club nobody wanted to join. But you are taking the first very important step - trying to gather some information on a very slippery devious sort of condition. Sadly there is no one- size-fits-all magic treatment.

Saying that - there are experts on here who can really help. Not professionals - they do seem very thin on the ground - but fibro sufferers who have experience in what will help you cope. That might be medication/diet/exercise/pacing and disability benefits.

So my advice - for what it’s worth - keeping reading all the posts. Keep an open mind. And good luck!

Xxx

Hello and welcome I am not far ahead of you this group has been great for advise and support and just a general rant when feeling bad. I hope you are doing ok wrapping your head around your diagnosis I know it is not easy. The main thing is to listen to your body and slow down dont be afraid to ask others for help and rearrange trips where you were to visit friends on a bad day get them to come to you instead. Small changes help. Keep active with physio exercises and walking I found helped to but dont over do it and do it at your own pace best of luck xx
