Weight?

I’ve put so much weight on during this rubbish year! But now I’m pretty stuffed of how I’m going to loose it all!! I have always been a Walker. That’s kept my weight steady but even walking 5 mins down the road hurts so bad so that’s not going to shift 2 stone!! Any tips please? X x

Try to keep walking if you can, even if it is only 5 minutes. Over time, you should gradually be able to start increasing the time without an increase in pain

Unfortunately with fibro, we can still be in pain even when exercising safely within our own limits - how I guage it, is how much can I do without triggering a flare rather than stress this activity cause me pain. Good luck - I'm going to increase my activity/exercise in new year as well as eat healthier to try and lose weight myself xxx

Drink lots of water dont eat after 6pm and eat healthy meals and snack on fruit xxxx

I once used to be member of a walking club so walked 15miles every couple of weeks on a Sunday. That dropped to zero with health and I grieved inside for that freedom. It is hard but simple stretching or jigging along to music helps me.You can very gradually build yourself up to walk more but don’t overstretch yourself or pain will cancel that achievement out and make you go backwards again.drink lots of water through day.alcohol puts pounds on me and that’s only if have couple a week.some of us just look at food and we balloon.everyone is different.hope I have helped

I'm doing 5 day fast every couple of months, or rather a fast mimicking diet for five days a month, which mean you still eat, just a lot less. I think I've actually lost weight. I can't do it normally because I do a lot of exercise and I have two young children and fasting makes me too tired. I rely on exercise to help my fibro as I can't take meds for it, the gym closing is really bad mentally and physically for me needed to do something. I've never managed conventional dieting, I have chronic migraines and you tend to crave carby sugary food a lot.

Hi Take it slowly, don’t rush your goals, decide what changes YOU are ready and willing to make, maybe it’s to stop snacking or reduce your bread intake. better still continue as you have been but reduce your meal portions.. eating off a smaller plate works but don’t pile high ( eat well plate).. within 5-7days you will be wondering how you eat such a larger portion before ..

if you decide you want to increase your activity.. yes YOU can continue your walks, but if the pain disturbs you .. seated exercises are a good place to start... I would suggest swimming but that evil thing called covid is roaming..

water intake is good.. some just don’t like h2o but added sugar free squashes will not do you any harm for now ...

so once you decide stick with it .. in no time you will be increasing your activities and eating much better as small measurable achievable goals are smart tailored to you and have a knock on effect..

All of my clothes shrunk through lack of wear...seriously though you are not alone, all I am doing is not snacking, will build up exercise when I feel more able xx
