Hi all hope your all well lovely day , I’ve got dentist appointment today for tooth extraction mri on Thursday really nervous my physio I went to last week (I’ve had a really bad back to the point I couldn’t walk )and pain going down my leg twice ,off sick for second time has sent doctors a letter it’s all happened so quick , they are thinking osteoarthritis ,I’ve noticed my fingers are getting stiff and my little finger is swollen and stiff if it is I’ve had it ages. Does fibromyalgia really get this bad ??

Hi there, I have severe OA as well as fibro. I'm not medically qualified to answer your question. But I do get all the same pain and problems with my OA. What your going through is what I feel when my OA is flaring up. Thankfully it does settle down. Sometimes it can take longer than others and the pain can be pretty bad that's for sure xx

Like Dizzytwo I have severe OA as well as fibro. The pain can be relentless. I started with early onset OA in my twenties and it has got worse over the years but it does settle and I find heat helps as does biofreeze gel. If it's fibro pain then I soak in an epsom salts bath and that eases the pain. Had a few surgeries for the OA and that has helped me walk and keep a bit more mobile. As a treat I was given a hot wax hand bath and that certainly helped with the hand pain and left my skin lovely and soft There are things that can help it's just a case of finding out what works for you.

Morning, I would differently keep seeking help from your GP, I have arthritis, oesteoprosis on top of my fibro , so it’s hard sometimes to know if my pain is from these or my fibro, xx

Thank you for the advice I spoke to dr today and he’s going to see results of mri which is tomorrow which I’m not looking forward to I wish now I’d of asked for chill pill of sorts before Oh well soon be over 😥
