Nah pregabalin I'm on . And is helping with some things for me. It expecially relaxes me. Helps with anixtey of things. That and other self management methods. Pilatie for chronic pain video started doing few months ago helps. And trying to find ways to. Relax more. Or generally slow down x

However now back on loprozaprole for acid reflux. Spelt that wrong. Pregab can cause that and sertraline too. Which I on. I can no longer take anti inflamatey anymore becoz I was so sick on it few months ago. Those can cause peptic ulcer if on sertraline. They joys of the good. And bad of. Meds lol x

Yes, but had to come off it as it made me really angry (like rage). It works for a lot of other people though :)

Yes I've taken Gapentin and the way I can describe it is when I was walking it was like my body was drunk, but my head wasn't. However worked great for the pain and tingling.

Yes I have been taking it for about 18 months, just take 300 mg in the evening. Don't seem to have side effects, except for a dry mouth, but I take Amitriptyline as well and a dry mouth is also a side effect of it. But 300 mg is a low dose.

I've been on it at a high dose for 6 years now. Unfortunately I have a high tolerance to anything I didn't feel I was getting any pain relief from it until I asked my gp to wean me off it. I only lasted 3 days before I was back up to full dose. My gp warned me that weight gain was a big side affect and she was right. I struggle with that more than anything because I've always worked out and been very slim. Good luck and really hope you get some relief from it x

When I got put on it over the course of 3 months they upped the dose each month. But that was for discs gone in my back in preparation for a spinal injection through the discs to help with the pain. Unfortunately for me, it was the injection that caused me to have fibromyalgia and they just kept me on it then. Fingers crossed it will help x

I was on it but it only mildly improved the nerve pain in my feet so I weaned off it.

I was put on Gabapentin in 1996 and it helped a lot with pain running down my legs. As I got used to it, I needed a higher and higher dose to get the same pain relief. Once I was on 2,700mg a day, my Consultant switched me to Pregabalin in 2008, its sister and far more modern drug. It requires far less Pregabalin to obtain the same pain relief. So it is better for your liver and kidneys. I need just 300mg of Pregabalin and it does not seem to require more and more of it to maintain the pain relief.

It works well for me and I am glad I am on it. You do have to take care that you do not over-eat as it raises your appetite. A lot of people gain weight and blame the drugs but it is the increased appetite that causes the weight gain, so be determined and try not to snack between meals.

I took Gabepentin for several months and went up to the highest amount, they were really good to start with and I had little pain but it wasn’t until my body started getting used to them that they then began to stop working. I came off them and had a very painful couple of weeks whilst I came off them and onto the amatriptaline. Although I don’t find the amatriptaline as effective unfortunately.
