Depends on the individual and how your pain affects you. For me I don't do anything different apart from walking on back garden rather than elsewhere.

i'm just using my normal pain management techniques ..... heat, activity/exercise, weighted blanket, medication, meditation, mindfulness, distraction (usually crochet , colouring in or TV), reiki and crystal therapy etc.

I've noticed since lockdown that I was in slightly more pain due to stiffness from not being as active - i don't do regular exercise as such, but simply not being out walking round a shop or visiting family/friends etc meant i was sitting around more (even at work, i'm up and down at the photocopier regular - not doing that working from home ... unless i want to have to walk upstairs every time I print something !)

I now have my exercise bike (which prior to lockdown got used for 10 mins 2/3 x a week if i remembered) downstairs in the living room ...and i'm doing a couple of minutes regular throughout the day. I'm also off on a virtual cycle tour of scotland ... every day i'm going to choose somewhere to virtually visit and look it up on google and enjoy pictures of the area. Might even discover some new places to visit once lockdown is over xxx

Lockdown or not, fibros must keep active or they will suffer more pain. Walking is always my go to. Tricky when you are limited, like now. Possibly cruel? Hurrah for a garden? Sad if you dont have, I think.

I found Brad and Bob on the youtube. They give advice for various aches the normal folks get. They can work some for fibros too.

They show how to do stretches properly. Already helped with plantar fasciitis and now carpel tunnel symptoms. They are engaging and funny too Yay! Must do little and often, everyday, but what else do you have to do?

Sometimes there are simple things you can do for relief.

Try to do some gentle exercises if you can. I go on you tube and follow pilate or yoga videos. Only gentle ones. You feel better after you've done them. X
