Thanks for the reply . My pain level is through the roof & so difficult to get out & about . I have had to move home due to problems getting upstairs . I feel so old before my time . Hope everything go's your way with the tribunal .

Thank you, I’m the same I had to move from my old place because of the stairs upto the flat however although iv now got a house the stairs inside are easier to manage as I can go up on my bum at the worst times it’s just frustrating that we have to fight for what we deserve yet I know at least 3 people who have enhanced rate everything and are in the pub every day n dancing on tables etc it infuriates me lol

I am going to check on some sites & yes I agree I also know people that claim enhanced rate including mobility & don't need any of it . X

There are many reasons why people get PIP mobility and it isn't always because they have an obvious disability.

I get both components at enhanced rate yet to look at you would never know what's wrong

Just wondering if it is worth applying for mobility p.i.p .

Always worth it.

You can have a check on ukgov site...DWP PIP mobility and decide if you meet their criteria before applying. Another excellent way is to joi Benefits and Work....they have brilliant advice.

I was awarded enhanced rate due to inability to plan a journey or make familiar journeys.

Don't be put off but it is getting harder to get any award.

Good Luck

Yes my wife is on enhanced rate. Poor me only standard at the moment. Both of us have other conditions. Both on this forum and in other groups people have reported getting enhanced rate for both care and mobility. Keep a diary for a couple of weeks on how your fibromyalgia effects you. Put in things like how far you walked, what stopped you walking further. Do you need an aid like a walking stick to prevent falls. If it is your first time applying get help from a disability advisor. Google disability advisor for your area and give them a ring. If you are over fifty ageuk can help you with this. Citizens Advice will also help but they are very busy and the quality of help can be mixed. Also start gathering evidence like consultants letters, physio reports etc. It all helps as you only have twenty eight days to return the forms.

I get pip both care and mobility.

Thank you for replying . I have been on standard rate care for about 4 years . My health has deteriorated since then . I am unable to walk pain free for any distance. I also suffer with depression & anxiety . I am worried about applying as I have been told if you fail getting mobility I could lose the care side as well .

I understand what your saying but I also know 100% these people aren’t unwell just good liars and that’s what annoys me so much. As people like us that suffer every day have to fight for what we deserve yet those who lie through their back teeth somehow manage it... it’s a strange old world lol

You can't get the standard or enhanced mobility award by faking it, and if you know of people who are faking their claim you can report them.

Yeah I have done. Oh believe me they faked it one I knew very well as she was a close friend. One of them where if something is wrong with you then she’s got it only worse etc etc. Iv seen her reports which were lies saying she had caters couldn’t walk without sticks which she used to go to appointments or meetings yet other times she was 99% of the time in high heels or stilettos not a stick in sight. There’s so much more but yeah it is possible unfortunately which makes it harder for those of us who

Are genuine

So true I definitely know that these people are totally liying & exagerrating 100 % over things . Depression seems to be a favourite these days as no one can dispute it unless they are put under surveillance. X

I got told in my pip assesment I have no mental health issues 😂😂😂😂 I’m serve with both anxiety and depression, I even had the doctor do another questionnaire thing they do to send in... not to mention my borderline personality disorder and things that have happened due to that .. I just don’t get how people can lie, I mean we tell the truth and get called liars lol so how do they manage it 🙈

Yes I do it was a long draining fight

I had my mobility award taken away after a home assessment for PIP

I Then appealed. It took a lot of time evidence and left me completely drained but it was re awarded and settled out of court by the DWP!!!!

I have mixed connective tissue disease and also secondary fibro raynards bowel incontinent the list goes on sadly!!!

Good luck

#feelingpants

It also took a year going through the appeal process before their decision was made
