I have been taxing 60mg of duloxetine for a few months now . Recently I’ve been getting nightmares and had itchy skin , im wondering if this can be caused by the meds ?

I only took it for 3 days, it made me dizzy, feeling sick and had no energy and was like a zombie. Only moved for bed to sofa and slept all the time

Good morning Annab :) it maybe the medication. I know I am sure to dream if I take my relaxer med in the evening. Strange I know when it's suppose to help relax me and help me get a better night's sleep.

Meds can make you itch that's for sure. I tried Tramadol and I itched something awful.

I would go and let your GP know what's happening. Just because a side effect is not listed this does not mean you can't be suffering something because of any medication you may be taking. Please have a word with your GP he maybe able to give you something for your itching or even change your medication Good luck I hope you get it sorted soon xx

Hello again, I think we might have chatted before, I’ve been on one table 60mg for 2 years now, I always take mine just before bedtime and I ve done very well on this, perhaps you could give your surgery a call and ask if they could give you a call back with advice on this, do you feel better being on this the last few months ?? , I have gained some weight but it’s given me my mojo back and been so much happier in myself coping with fibro etc xx

Hi there. I am due to start this drug in the next few days as my doctor has prescribed it for my chronic pain. I did try it last year for a short time but I found it was making me anxious which apparently is a side-effect in the first few days according to him. He has suggested I have another go at it to see if it will help. I feel quite worried about it as I am on a lot of medication and I don’t want to upset how I am feeling now which isn’t great to be honest. Have you any advice on how you all felt when you first went on it. I feel quite worried about it as I am on a lot of medication and I don’t want to upset how I am feeling now especially anxiety.

Hello there I am in Suffolk so I’m guessing that’s where your title comes from ? I cannot remember any side effects from duloxtene settles quite nicely and and never looked back, no anxiety and coping with Fibro etc so much more positive in myself, can always ask surgery if your doctor can give you a booked call back about any concerns you have for a piece of mind, I’ve even found my local pharmist lady very helpful for a chat. Xx

That’s good to hear. I tried it last year but it was amongst other drugs I was trying out and I was on one then off trying another and feeling bad so I didn’t know whether i was coming or going. When I tried it think I was so stressed out I gave in to it all. The GP did say it might make you feel anxious inside for a week or so but persevere that’s what worries me as I’ve had meds before like that and it’s not nice. I need it for pain so I’m hoping it works for me.

I hope things settle down for you, I know what you mean I take I take Lansoprazole for hiatas hernia, duloxtene for fibro/anxiety , codiene is there but for occasional use, my stomach does not like too many pills , my fibro body differently likes warmth and not the cold damp Winter months, roll on late Spring xx

Thank you that’s helpful. I did get some CBD oil but haven’t tried it out as yet as there was a lot of other things going on medicine wise so didn’t want to mask this but will give it a go. Does the anxiety subside with time on duloxatine or is it a permanent side effect? It was expensive and a minefield of different products out there are confusing to get the right one.

I have got Best Life 10% (1000mg) As I said I did start to use it but I was starting other medications and there was a lot going on so I decided to not carry on as I might not see the benefits. I only took it for about a week I think. Thank you for your help.
