Pain in throat!

Hi, I'm recently over a awful virus. I lost my voice but no sore throat. I've been on Pregabalin just for three weeks, now the thing is my throat really hurts when I swallow and my eyes look blood shot, apart from that I'm ok. Just wondering if this could be a side affect of the Pregabalin. No loszengers or throat sprays are helping. Thanks x

Red irritated eyes and a sore throat are two of the rarer side effects of taking Pregablin according to the Mayo clinic website.x

Thankyou, I wonder if these side effects will ease over time. Think it warrants a call to my GP if no better in a couple of days x

I must admit that the first six weeks on Pregablin I found hard going with alot of what seemed strange side effects but I was so desperate for relief from the burning, shooting pains that I stuck with it. Fingers crossed they will ease but if not certainly worth having a word with your gp a slight adjustment in dose might do the trick.x

Have a chat to your Pharmacist. it will be easier than trying to get to see your GP, and could put your mind at rest. Part of a Pharmacist's training includes drug interactions, and they really know more than your doctor about them.

Thank you I'm doing just that today though I have managed to get an appointment with my GP for Monday luckily

It sounds very much like the virus my daughter is just getting over. She lost her voice completely for a couple of days. Hope you feel better soon.
