Hi, I’m new here but not new to fibro, diagnosed 5 years ago but had symptoms longer! Been just trying to cope with all the pain, but the last six weeks been in an awful flare. Feeling so low and alone I thought I would join and get connected to other fibro warriors to help with this black hole I’m currently in and to say Fibro is PANTS!!!!

Welcome. I was diagnosed 3 years ago I think. I too find hot bath and electric blankets help and hot wash cloth on my jaw & in my mouth of all things. Resting when I can I realize pushing through isn’t super smart. Staying hydrated careful with my food. Getting injections for things and meds seem to make it worse. That’s me. Eating green stuff helps me& melons & massage on my mouth and rolling in a foam roller. Stress throws me off & lack of rest. Life is less active I hate that. I have let go of a lot I did is hard. I hope for some magic way to deal with it.

Yes sir. Trying to mimimise 'red lining' is such a tough thing to do. It's a real mind shift for any fibromyalgiac? Everything we thought we knew turns out to be not very useful. To be able to just stop what you're part way through for the sake of your future self takes some doing but it's the reality of the situation? Pushing through isn't super smart. Agreed.

Nope I think it’s adrenal fatigue and vitamin deficiency absorption I also think it’s Candida. I’ve had constant yeast issues stomach issues from getting run down and meds. Mine started from my body going through extreme pain from ovarian cysts ack to back for years and antibiotics & pain meds. When I arrive home I’ll give myself b12 injections again. I didn’t know you could just go to pharmacy in my province buy a vial some syringes there you go. Also b2/riboflavin you can buy which helps harder to find but some pharmacies can order it in. And selenium every day. I often wonder that I have autoimmune issues I have psoriasis and I think I have something else. I’m hoping I can be sent to a specialist but I’m fighting with psychiatrist who says it’s in my head but his treatment is working made it worse and he blames me. Well that’s the answer then there’s a real issue. I’m exhausted. I know before I ate clean no wheat dairy sugar I ate brown rice pasta and a lot of salads fresh things and took drops from Naturalpathic it took one year I felt so much better. I just can’t afford it again. I had two major surgeries back to back then and endless medications I have arthritis inflammation. Maybe you should try this and get some goldenseal if your gut can handle it. Stay away from trendy kumbacha yeasty stuff. Sugar is a killer. I only ate jam made with fruit juice even luckily easy to find. It’s not in your head you got run down and your body got sick and it all affects the mind. I do think right antidepressants help but you have to treat your body to get well. It’s a long road for me. I’m in menopause too now. I had this before menopause but it def makes it worse. Sucks getting older I wish I was a dude often they have clue lol

Hi bertie and welcome to the club nobody wants to be in ;)

You will find that the members on here are non judgmental and will understand a need to rant, moan, ask advice, etc we are also known to share the good times too and there is some humour too. We often laugh at the daft things we do/say. Please feel free to ask any questions, nothing too silly as you will bet that someone else has already asked it, thought it or replied to it.

Fibro is different for all of us and some find prescription meds helpful and some can't tolerate them. Its trial and error. For me diet helps without a doubt - no processed foods and no refined sugar. If I stray I know about it :( Heat pads, hot water bottles, tens machine, gentle exercise all form part of keeping the fibro sprite from sending me into flare. Personally I use hypnotherapy and chiropractor when I can afford it.

Hope you find some relief soon. Keep posting we are all here to support you.
