I was refused pip as I looked her in the eye 🙈and my musculoskeletal observations noted no restrictions???? Some days I can’t get out of bed , I can’t even do my bra . How do I do a mandatory without seeming rude?

Have you received a copy of their report? Phone up and say you disagree with their assessment and points awarded. Follow that up, with a letter, confirming your request and the name of the person you spoke to. It really is thatbsimple, so please do it now.

Morning dottie, I think it was almost 3 weeks ago now you posted about been refused pip forgive me if I'm wrong. I'm just going on what you posted before.

May I ask how long ago exactly it was you had your assessment? I don't know much about benifits to be honest. But from what I've read I think if you disagree with the decision you should call them. Ask for a copy of the report and ask for an MR mandotory reconsideration. Then maybe follow it up with a written request. Like FRreedman has said.

Again I'm not sure but I also believe there is a time limit on when you can request a MR. That's why it's very important to ask for a mandatory reconsideration quickly. So I would suggest you make that call today xx

I’d even forgotten I’d posted , my memory is absolutely shocking. I will ring them today . I’ve got another week. My doctor is writing a letter for me too .

I know, these interviews and physical tests can be so farcical depending on who interviews you.

Quite often theyve made their mind up in the first minute or so.

I hope everything works out in the best way possible for you.

Nothing rude about it. It is your right. Ask for a copy of both the assessors and decision makers report. Unfortunately you normally have only 28 days to ask for a mandatory reconsideration. When you ring ask for an extension to allow time for the reports to come though. Whilst waiting for the reports download the PIP descriptors and see what points are given for each question. Base your appeal on those descriptors and state why you should have been given points.

Brill thanks they have given me a month from today. Do you think you can put in about your personal circumstances as I’ve had to stop working now as I’m a single mum to an 18 month old and 7 year old I was literally falling asleep at the wheel on the way home .

Thank you rung them and they gave me a month from today . She said to get letters from my physio but our trust aren’t allowed to do them now. So waiting for a doctors letter. Is strange how different trusts work in difffereny ways .
