I experience the same, it flares up and then settles but can last weeks at a time, even the blanket aggravated me! My partner bought me an all singing dancing foot spa which is lovely but I can tolerate it for long periods so dip in and out, can’t walk bare foot when they flare up so always leave slip on’s at the side of the bed. One of the worst things to experience. Sorry I can’t be more helpful

Hi there, nice to meet you :) I have very bad feet. I am waiting for an appointment to see a podiatrist. I would just say it may be worth getting your feet problems checked by your GP. I have had Fibro for 35 years and not all problems including feet are related to Fibro.

Hi there!

I experience it as well, and it happens very often with my hands too. When I have this, I sink my hands and feet in ice cold water and it seems to help to ease the burning sensation.

I bought 2 Chillow pillows for bed one for hands and other for feet. Gives a bit of relief

'what with these feet?' from sitcom featuring R Barker Esq. I have sore feet period. Unfortunately sensations of hot and cold are nothing to pain 24/7. One day they will be able to do replacement feet like replacement shoulders ,knees and hips! Form a line everyone maybe in our lifetime.

I emphatise as my feet go through these episodes it as though they have been immersed in boiling water I often have to have just my feet sticking out from the bedclothes. It doesn't seem to make any difference whether the weather is hot or cold. I put a cold, wet flannel on mine and then smear some freeze gel. I have been a bit better since taking Pregablin. Hope you find something that helps.x

Exactly the pain I have in my feet. I have pain from toes to my hips which is why I follow this group. But the feet are probably the result of type 2 diabetes. Diagnosed as peripheral neuropathy. Even though I have reversed the diabetes, I am stuck with the nerve damage it caused.

I've been cursed with this pain for many years and tried most of the available drugs: Pregabalin gave relief to a long time but became I effective. Now because of the extended pain. Bilateral neuropathy or possibly Fybromyalgia, I am prescribed Oxycodone. Pretty much a last resort.

But the old problem of the feet strikes mostly at bed time. Even soon after taking Oxycodone. The remedy which always is to plunge my feet into a bucket of cold water. Immerse for 20 minutes then wrap in a towel till warm and dry.

Sometimes I do it last thing as a preventative measure. Sometimes in the early hours. I keep my bucket ready beside a dining chair, make a mug of tea, and read my digital newspapers. I almost look forward to it!

Oh yes, I have burning feet, feels like I've been standing on hot sand. I also have compromised circulation; its odd, having feet blue and purple with blood flow issues, and at the same time experiencing burning soles! ;)

Yes, I get this, also with stabbing, too. Hot burning heels, Achilles, ankles and hands and wrists is horrible, plus throbbing ankle bones. It is horrible when they hurt so much in bed, and the bedclothes feel so heavy and too hot for them, even in winter and you have to let them hang off the bed. Apart from mint gel, bio freeze gel and cold packs to cool, I try to do a few calf stretches every now and again each day and to roll a ball under my feet to support the foot area. Due to fatigue, I do spend quite a bit of time in bed. This can cause shortening of the calf muscles, and plantar fasciitis. Walking is very painful, and it exacerbates burning and heat. I find flip flop style shoes with high arch supports very helpful when at home. You can get them online quite cheaply. The Fibro nurse told me plantar fasciitis is one of 5 conditions which people with Fibro often have.
