Can anyone help , it's been 6 weeks since I sent in mr form for pip , am so stressed . My original claim was started in early January. I have fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis as well as depression and anxiety. Metal plates in wrist from bad break and in constant pain. I was short by 2 points for daily living and 0 for mobility. It's really cruel what they do to us . Any advice would be great . Thanks

Just ring the DWP & see how far they've got with it. There is no time limit for their decision. Thats just for us to fill in their forms

Hi

It depends on your area but it can take up to 8 months before they make a decision if they have a back log.

Mine took 18 months from start to finish as I had to put in a mandatory Reconsideration notice which I won.

Good luck

And yes it is cruel what they do to us as stress is one of the worse things for fibro.

6 weeks is long enough for u to call them, and ask what’s happening but on the other hand they used that against me when then denied my claim so perhaps get someone else to chase them up on your behalf!
