Hi bella

I too had two rounds of the botox injections for migraines,

And like you made things worse, so my specialist decided against the third set

Instead I have now gone on to try topiramate tablets. Started at 25mg.2xday

Now at. 125 two x day.

They sort of help a little.

All trial and error, I am sure you have been through the same things I have.

In trying everything!!!

I hope this helps please come through if you need any more advice or anything.

Hope all goes well. X

Maggie

Dear Bella , I used to have the most horrendous migraines before my menopause. I tried everything including ergotamine. It didnt help . Then I used migraleve , it helped a bit. Latterly ibruprofen which helped a bit.

Last summer I discovered cbd oil which helped me through a diverticulitis flare which lasted four months. Many times I wished it was available when I was suffering from migraine. It would have made such a difference to my life. If you do try it , give it time a month or so and experiment with the dosage . Holland and Barratt are very helpful. They now have four brands. I started on Jacob van Houy . Now I'm on a spray one which is even better and cheaper.

Do hope this helps. KT

Hi Bella 17 I have had really bad migraines over the years and found Botox to be a great help I was up to 20 migraines a month at times and now down to much less and less severe the only problem I have now is nhs cut back as I was having injections every 4 months now it is every 5 months which is affecting my migraines quite bad this month I always keep a headache diary which I found helps really well but it did take a couple of times for my Botox to kick in Ano everyone is different but now I wouldn’t be with out it it works great

Hi Bella17, I suffered from really aggressive migraines for years & my doctors over the years have given me all manners of pills to try, from regular pills, to preventative pills you have to take these every night, even when you don't have a migraine & I've also tried a pill you put on your tongue & it melts withing about 30 seconds, voila, no migraine! These are the only thing that worked for me. I'm sorry I can't remember the name of them, but if you describe them to your doctor, (if you wanted to try them), they will know what they are. Anyway, these worked for about a year, then my body must have built up some sort of immunity to them. A friend of mine suggested trying an all natural temple balm call Quiet Mind Temple Balm, by Elemis. It comes in a little blue bottle & 15mls costs around £15. You can purchase it online & even find some places where you can get it for roughly £12 or £13. It sound quite expensive, however you only need a very small amount at a time & it lasts for about 3/4 months. Depending on how bad a month you've had. I've found this to work for me long term, as I've been using it successfully for around 7 years now. I am so thankful for it as it's one less piece of medication I have to consume into my body! If you try it, let us know how you get on, because if it works for you & I, it might help others too. Best of luck to you, hope you find something that helps you soon. A x

Ps. I don't sell this product, I've just realised it sounds like I've given you the hard sell routine!! Lol It just pure & simply works that well for myself & my friend. 😊

I've just remembered the name of the melt on your tongue pills. They are called Rizatriptyline, (spelling is questionable)... lol Good luck Bella17.
