Hey everyone been feeling really tired of late struggling with work to the point I have taken a time out from the meds for a few days ,I have just got tired of taking so many tablets each day and to top it all got myself a chest infection and struggling to take in air. Still I have my first grandchild coming into this world in the next three weeks I am excited! "Can't think why" still need to vent about being tired and stressed thanks for reading it truly helps

I don't know what meds you take but it is never advisable to suddenly stop taking them.

Coming off should always be discussed with your GP and a safe reduction...one med at a time...can be worked out

Good morning David,

We all know that feeling well; it’s like you’re trying to fight off an anaesthetic isn’t it? Horrible!

Does your medication make you drowsy on top of the fatigue? If so, perhaps you should ask the GP for alternatives.

Do you need to reassess your pacing, prioritise tasks and time?

Please don’t think I’m trying to tell you what to do. I remember very well how I drove myself too hard and should have taken time to pace and prioritise but I didn’t do it.

My outcome was to crash and burn and I haven’t worked since then.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing!!

Congratulations on the pending new arrival into your family.

Until that little person arrives you won’t know the strength of feeling you will experience. I was absolutely overwhelmed when each of my three grandchildren were born and I adore them.

I’m sure you will find great joy and be a doting grandad.

In the meantime, get some rest; you’Il need your energy for the upcoming excitement.
