Welcome to the friendly forum. There are lots of people with loads of experience in the condition. My journey to all too familliar , went to Gp's for years with this pain or that symptom.I had moved house quite a bit to be fair. However one chap sent me to a neurologist. They referred me to a surgeon who was thinking of a neck surgery. Then I moved again. New GP was sympathetic so sent me to another surgeon who used the word Fibromyalgia and said that i needed a Rheumatolgist . The rest they say is history. My present consultant is great I see her every 6 months (I have other conditions). Various medications have been tried,at present using Pregabelin ,paracetamol, and recently Blutrans patches.

How do I deal with it? Everyday its an option of does Fibro rule me or I rule it? Then there is the need to not to over do it. Pacing is the name of the game for sure. Suggest you find a support group near you check out fmauk.org/groups.

Your employer needs to know about your Fibromyalgia . It is classed as disability so some adjustments may need to be made.

They are aware, but as I have relocated and have a new micro manager who blocked my Access to Work application staying we need to go via "in house" I have an appointment with occupational therapy on the 9th

Hope your wel!

If you can contact Job centre disability adviser and clarify if an employer can 'block' Access to Work. Your company has a vested interest to use their 'in house' system. If you are in a union have a quiet word.

I never knew about job centre so I'll enquire. I have spoken with union as I don't think it's right but as long as my needs get met in not fussed

Hi Rita, I think your misunderstanding. This has nothing to do with your reply box. To lock a post it must be done before you hit the post button.

You write a new post /question. Don't hit the post button yet. Scroll down a little now click O Only community members first then click on Post. You only do it once when you first post not to every reply. I did send you a PM :)
