Fybomyalgia diagnosis

Hello. I have just joined this site. I have been suffering with fatigue & other symptoms for about 2 years. My Doctor sent me to see a Cardiologist because of the fatigue but my toe scans were normal. I've had blood tests too. I would like to go back to my GP & ask about Fybomyalgia but I'm apprehensive because my GP practice don't seem to accept this condition. Can you offer me any guidance of how to go to the GP & say it in a way that they will take me serious? Or is there another pathway I can be tested?

Many thanks

Loucie

You can ask your gp to send you to a doctor who will diagnose you who is based in Rheumatology. This is where I was diagnosed.

You have to go through several small tests. But your gp won’t diagnose you which is a good thing.

Fibro is an awful condition and more people are starting to take it more serious

I hope this helps, always here to chat

Do you have all over pains? If so, you could ask your GP for a referral to a rheumatologist and see if they would diagnose you. Is there another GP in the surgery you could see, who may be more aware of fibro?

Good luck. x
