Good news, painfree at last almost..

Hi, my conditions came on quickly and lasted a year. I used Celebrex to control the pain so I could get to the gym. 2 weeks of weight training did very little although I did get stronger. It was when I started aerobic exercise (running on a treadmill and swimming) that I saw a difference. After 4 weeks I cut out the Celebrex. You have to sweat it out. It took 3 months to remove 90% of the petrification from my muscle. In my headspace, I've broken all the old muscle and have developed new muscle. I was so pleased to stop all the medication and lying around. Give it a go, hope this helps.

Hi, glad you are feeling better. I go to the gym too. Been going for several years regularly. It helps in the short term especially with the depression but hasn't cured the fibro pains. I guess we are all different.

Thanks for that. I should emphasize I stopped all medication. One read of all the side effects and my belief I was fine before and will return to fine again was what I focused on. Good luck.

Great positive post, I am fortunate to still be able to get around, many with fibromyalgia cannot due to other conditions. It must also be said that there is no cure for Fibromyalgia as my neurologist believes it is a malfunction of the central nervous system. I have other health issues too but I do agree that moving around and some exercise can be of benefit if you are able. x

Thanks, I should add when it first struck I was unable to bend my legs or arms after a nights sleep without pain killers. Without pain killers, I would not have been able to start the gym. But I really would like everyone to know that light exercise did nothing for me. I really had to hit it hard for 3 months to sweat it out or create a new nervous system. I can't know what happened internally nor can the doctors.
