Has anyone else had a low white blood count

Well I have ended up in hospital I got a phone call off my rheumatology nurse rang me and said you need to go straight to A & E that my bloods have come back and my white blood cell count is down again. I went through this in 2016 and wouldn’t wish it it on anyone was also told it wouldn’t happen again but it has supposed will just have to grin and bare it not much else to said I might be able to go home tomorrow.

Yes my white cells go up and down. Haematologist said it’s neutropenia but I developed it when I was 38. Strange

It’s the second time I’ve had it they said you only get it once !

Maybe different to me. My blood always now shows low white cells. I was referred to hospital about 3 years ago but they sent me back to the GP and said it was called neutropenia and I would be prone to infections. That was it.
