You need to get your thyroid levels checked as under or over medication will cause all the symptoms. When you have a copy of your results post them on the ThyroidUK forum for advice.
I am 58 now but when I was 32 I had an overactive thyroid (graves disease) I had a partial thyroidectomy which caused me to go underactive. A few years later it regrew and I had to go to the Christie hospital for radio iodine. This plunged me into being really underactive..I don't have any thyroid tissue now. I could barely stand up or hold the phone to my ear. When I was 42 I started to feel dizzy. I couldn't walk unaided, couldn't drive and felt like I needed to be lay down all the time. I had every test imaginable but they didn't know what it was. In desperation I scoured the library medical books and found one that described my symptoms. ME or chronic fatigue. I was referred to a rheumatologist who did the tender points test and was told I had fibromyalgia. Unfortunately for me my pain has gone from bad to worse in the last 16 years and I'm in horrendous pain every day. I hope that this isn't the case for you. Ask to be referred to a rheumatologist. Good luck. Deb
Your symptoms sound like fibro but could also be other things. Ask your gp to be referred to a rheumatologist. They will test you to rule other things out before confirming fibro. Hope you get an answer soon 😀😀
Hi there I would differently get a referral from doctor so you can find out if it is fibro or not , doctor will hopefully order bloods if he/she has not already done so before, I’ve just been put on folic acid 2 weeks ago but have not noticed any change yet, I have cfs/fibro /sleep apnea so chronic fatigue and aches is the usual on many days, I am experiencing more headaches not sure if extreme heat is a factor but differently mention this, perhaps write a few little questions down as well , sometimes I do this I’m getting forgetful and also helps doctor get a better picture of when things got worse etc. xx ps let us know how you get on and posting alittle link for locking future posts which members find helpful healthunlocked.com/fibromya...
