Help with reassessment period query

Wondering if anyone can provide me with information regarding my daughters mums claim for ESA which I helped her with. She won her appeal for PIP and was receiving income support up until Feb 2018 then she was told to claim either JSA or ESA due to her daughter reaching five years of age. Subsequently she claimed for ESA and had a medical assessment on the 4th April 2018 whereby she was put in the support group due to her disabilities and illnesses. Today 21st August 2018 she has received another form asking for information about her problems to have an healthcare assessment which is just over three month since the last one. Firstly she had been sending fit for work to the job centre and was told she didn't have to anymore but not sure who to believe - the DWP the assessors or the ones reassessing in such a short timescale. Is it me or is there a mistake being made or are they just trying to cause as much stress and upset that they can for her?

Yu need to get a copy of the assessment report from April and the decision makers report and marking sheets the decision maker and or the medical assessment should say when she wd be reviewed . Three months Seems very soon and I wd definitely query it

Take a look at the decision letter that she got. It should say how long the award was for.

Decision letters for ESA no longer give a time period although they used to. The DWP can now re-assess whenever they want to without any warning, but for Support Group claimants, they are talking about light touch reviews with no face-to-face for those with the most severe disabilities - but this is yet to be defined.

This sounds like a case of DWP's left hand and right hand not knowing what they are doing. Give them a call to find out what is going on. If they are doing a review so soon after the original decision, go to the Citizens Advice Bureau to get help with it. It just is not reasonable to be doing this and involving your local MP might also help.
