Does anybody get muscle cramps and body jerking mainly at night when resting. Still not sure if l have ms or fibro l saw neuro for first time on Tues and initial exam showed no neurological symptoms he said unlikely to be MS

Is the jerking most in your legs?

Jerking in my body muscle cramps spasms in my legs. Weird sensations in my legs

Boy, I sure don't have a clue. If it had just been in your legs it could have been restless leg syndrome....but all over your body is definitely weird. Much good luck in figuring out what plagues you.XX00

Yes I do quite often and I have fibro so u probs have that my kids look at me gone out when I jerk and it makes my dogs jump too , hope you get your diagnosis and they give you the correct doctor who helps and understands you , as loads of Doctors don’t have a scooby doo about it then you have others that understand it and are great. Vit d and Epsom salts in bath will help ease this. I used to get it really bad, fibrobods are usually low in vit d.

My vit D is fine as gp did all usual vit blood tests

I suffer with this and it is always when I'm resting, at home on the sofa or in bed at night. I find heat pads really help ease the twitches and spasms and any pain. I should be an ambassador for wheat filled heat pads, I have quite a collection and I'm always singing their praises!

Thanks for your input im not diagnosed and worried l may.have ms as pins and needles as well l have lupus and sjogrens x

I get cramps from my toes up to my groin,also hands sometimes. Its agonising. My gp has prescribed quinine tablets which help quite a bit but I have noticed if my feet get wet in the day(if its raining for example or watering the plants) I have the most awful cramps at night, I sometimes wear support socks which helps. Hope these hints help
