This happened to me. I had pain between shoulder blades for a couple of years. Doesn’t give me much trouble now but pain down buttocks and back of legs very painful and wearing. However, I’m sure that this isn’t the case with everyone . I hope your son gets some relief soon. Fibro can wax and wane- always have hope. X

Many thanks for your reply my son has it mainly around the hip down back and front of leg like you, so is unable to get out until it settles but can last quite a few days, even a wheelchair is uncomfortable. As you say you need to stay positive although some days it’s diffucult. Take care

I can so empathise with him. Sitting can be so painful and it is difficult to get comfortable. I was always so against medication and I think that it is very much trial and error but a mixture of holistic approach and the right medication can help symptoms. I really hope that your son gets some relief soon. I’m sure with a bit of trial and error he will learn to manage his pain. Lots of good wishes to him. X

Yes unfortunately it can move randomly around the bodyntherr seems to be nonrhymemor reason for it. Mine always seems worse around my thoracic area but sometimes my left hip, bottom of the back or feet.x

Have you considered looking beyond fibromyalgia diagnosis , which is one of exclusion anyway? I'm improving considerably by going down DrLowe's protocol that fibromyalgia is most likely poorly medicated or undiagnosed hypothyroidism- go look at sister forum of Thyroid Uk.

Are you actually implying there is no such thing as fibromyalgia ?

re thyroid connection please read this: healthunlocked.com/fibromya...

From thyroid UK: "Thyroid UK does not subscribe to the opinion that everyone with these conditions has undiagnosed hypothyroidism."

Also Dr Lowe's hypothesis (not theory or protocol) has not been backed by clinical trials AFAIAA. Undiagnosed thyroid is a thing but this is not the base of everyones fibromyalgia diagnosis.
