Got my blue badge today. Only had my assessment last Wednesday so it came through quick x just waiting on the outcome of my Pip assessment now xx

Congratulations on getting your blue badge Hun, I’m so pleased for you 😊. I’ve waited a couple of weeks now to see if I’ve got mine. I think I’ll chase them up if I haven’t heard by the end of the week. I’m keeping everything crossed for your pip benefit. Please let us know when you hear about it.

Can I ask as what assessment is involved for blue badge if not got mobility for pip please?

Hi sonyaW

I had to go to face 2 face, they asked what my condition was what medication I’m on, how my mobility is at home and out and about, how far I can walk before I need to take a break. And about on going treatments I’m getting. Xx hope this helps you x

I only had to have a phone assessment to get mine, I don't know if this is due to different councils or they just decided on the amount of evidence, but I would definitely look at applying for one, it does make a massive difference, it gives one less thing to worry about day to day ☺

Glad you have received your blue badge, it really does help, I would be lost without mine, hope your pip doesn't take to long it's horrible waiting isn't it. I sent my review forms back in January and still waiting. Have you been waiting long? Fingers crossed. Trace xxx

Good luck with PIP, I got mine a couple of years ago, got enhanced rate care but at the time I only had aspergers and mental health issues. I should be entitled to more now my physical health is worse but I'm too afraid of losing what I have that I'm going to what till my renewal to put it in

Definitely go for one, you don't lose anything for trying and if they agree with you that you need one it'll be so helpful ☺
