This may help clear that mental fog and give some pain relief.

I have been diagnosed fibromyalgia 25 years plus.

Approx three months ago I started taking New Zealand green mussel supplement. I didn't think anything would happen as nothing else had. Into my second week I suddenly thought things had improved. The muzzy, brain fog had gone. Not only that but the heavy tiring feeling in my bones had improved. what's more I still have the fog relief and heavy joint relief.

I do still have break through pain episodes but its much easier to cope with. Its lovely having a clear head.

I have told some family members and friends to try the mussel supplement. All have found relief in one way or another.

They don't all have fybro. Some have arthritis.

Just thought I would share my findings as it may help others.

Green-lipped mussel is a nutritional supplement taken from perna canaliculus, a bivalve mollusc (mussel) native to New Zealand. You can buy it from high-street retailers.

We don’t yet fully understand how green-lipped mussel works, but we know that extracts contain omega-3 fatty acids, amino acids, minerals and carbohydrates. Laboratory and animal studies have shown that omega-3 fatty acids have anti-inflammatory properties and are important for maintaining joint cell structure and function, and this might be one of the ways green-lipped mussel works in some people.

Green-lipped mussel seems to be relatively well tolerated, although gastrointestinal discomfort (like nausea and flatulence) have occasionally been reported. Interactions with other drugs haven’t been well studied, but you should be cautious about taking it with affect anticoagulants because it may affect these.

No recommended safe doses have been found for use in musculoskeletal conditions.

I use the Musselflex gel on aching muscles which is made from the green lipped muscles and have found more relief with that than say Ibuprofen. Glad you have had good results.x

I have used Imove which is green lipped mussel and it worked on the pain of the arthritis but the fibro still seems to be the same. Unfortunately still get the foggy brain. Also use Yumove for the dogs which helped my poor old arthritic chap go from hardly getting up from his bed to being able to jump in the back of the car after 10 days. Amazing stuff for him.

Interesting you use Yumove for your dog. I use the advanced, need to be under a vet to get tablets, for my young Collie. She has hip dysplasia. Not entirely convinced it helps her as she still needs pain meds.

I used Imove after surgery to remove the bone spurs in my ankles and reattach the tendon and ligaments torn away. So to be fair it is combined with surgery although didn't have surgery on hands and they seem to be slightly more flexible. Such a shame for your collie. HD is just not fair in a young active dog. Yumove can't cure the problem as HD is genetic and to some degree environmental condition but will ease the joint and maintain the synovial fluid but can't remodel the ball and socket joint. Have the vets discussed cartrophen. Friend of mine has a spaniel doing really well on the cartrophen injection, so much so that she is back to being a really naughty girl. She didn't want to go down the surgery route as this little dog had already had both knees done. I sold a puppy to someone and within a couple of weeks the pup had broken her hip colliding with another dog. She lived on yumove after that and did really well. It's a bit like us really some do very well on one drug and others suffer every single side effect or it fails to work at all. Used the horse version too and that helped my daughter's old girl continue jumping for longer than we thought possible. Horses for courses as they say :) Certainly I couldn't live without a dog or two or three.

you can buy as glucosamine and Chondroit
