sorry to be asking about esa yet again.ive received a letter saying awarded esa till nov 2018 still on same amount of benefit and still in support group but no mention of pip benefit.ive still got my mobility vechicle which is due to be renewed.i can only assume all went well with my medical and doctors report.

Glad you've got a bit of breathing space with your ESA. ESA and PIP benefits are awarded separately so you will hear independently about how your PIP assessment went. Fingers crossed for a good result for you.x

Thanks he said he had enough information about breathing problems and never mentioned pain or mental health issues so I got the impression I had failed the WCA but never can trust anything that’s said

Hi. I help with a group that helps people with filling in pip forms. Im not an expert so please double check what i say.

Pip is awarded for a set period generally 1-5 years. As the award comes to an end you are “invited’ to reapply.

It’s a completeley new application and they will send you another copy of the pip application ( 20 weeks before).

They are now also issuing mid award reviews... supposedly to check you are getting all your entitkements.... they basically cover the same topics as the pip application but ask you if you condition is better the same or worse.

If you check your original award letter it should tell you how long your award is for. 2-3 minths before the end you should recieve a letter inviting you to reapply.

You have to duplicate you previous application... it’s from scratch

Ideally you shoukd have copies of all documents you sent and also your old pip form.

hi phil thank you very much for your message.i suppose i will just have to wait to hear of dwp regarding pip benefit.as ive said got letter on saturday regarding esa benefit ive been put in support group so happy for now.
