Hi I've recently applied for pip do anyone know how long it takes for a assessment to take place

Depends how busy they are in your area

May be anything from 3 weeks or more

It only took a couple of weeks for me. It’s the finding out if you’re successful that is the long wait. Good luck anyway.

I found it like a post code lottery- it was quick for me but others have found months , IF it is granted you will get it back dated so look upon it as savings to draw later.

I had a letter within a week giving me a date but it varies according to where you live and what level of applications they have received. Good luck with it fingers crossed for a good outcome.x

Mine was within a few weeks. However not for fibromyalgia but for multiple disabilities.
