3 am Cuppa and Co-codamol Anyone...

This is the time of day that really gets to me....after finally managing to get to sleep I'm awake after 4 hours and wondering how am I going to get through another day? Today at least I can go back to sleep once the coco kicks in and not worry about being up at 6 am to get my granddaughter off to school. Her mum works various hours each day so I do have her a lot (luckily she is a joy for to have and does not require me to do as much for her now she's 13 and knows it all)!!

Hiya cuddlyka you would almost think you were talking about my house there, I to have my 13 year old grand daughter ever school day, who also really sees to herself. My grand children are what is keeping me going at the moment or life wouldn't mean the same at all. Last night however I had her sister 10 and 4 year old cousin staying with me, there lying next to me now asleep while I'm on my nebuliser, which is the 4th time through the night and it hasn't woke them

Up thank the lord. I think at the moment I'm very lucky if I get 3 hours sleep but it isn't consecutive it's a bit here and there, and like yourself I'm sitting up in bed wondering how I'm going to cope with another day. My husband did some hand exercises on my front and back before bed for my bronchiectasis but unfortunately what helps with that kills me for my fibro so I am in tremendous pain where he tried to help plus everywhere else on top of that. Oh I think I'll prey for a miracle today and have just a few hours where I'm

Ok, would be lovely. Hope you to have a good day. Take care. 🙏

Good Morning Maureen, thank you for sharing but so sorry to hear of how much you suffer. Yes, I too feel that my granddaughter has been a blessing over the past few years, especially as she has aged (she wasn't so much of one when she was younger and needed more doing for her).

I'm certainly nowhere near as bad as you sound and it is only now that the doctor is telling me that Firbromyalgia is potentially what I am looking at. I've always put my bodily pains and exhaustion down to my haitus hernia/ibs/depression/varicose veins/potential arthritis etc and frequent flu like viruses. It may sound bizarre but I am a little relieved to know what I could now be dealing with, hope that makes sense.

Am now up again as my granddaughter is going to shortly descend upon me until Wednesday morning. Hope you are now managing to get some more sleep and wish you well for the rest of the day x

Hi cuddly how lovely looking after grand daughter, I have two grown up sons but no grandchildren. did not bother me for ages, but would quite like one now. still have my four cats lol. like naughty children . l can usually sleep when I should be getting up. Think when six comes that's a lovely time to sleep if you can. xxxx

I too find 6 a good time to go back to sleep but that is no good for me when I have to get my granddaughter up for school. But given that she's likely to want to stop staying with me in couple of years time (she's already practicing the "home alone"

pressed button too soon... practicing being "home alone" and enjoying it, I may not have her around for too much longer sadly.

And she is a lucky girl to have a grandma like you. However unlike her I am not young enough to know it all :)

As a single mum, my daughter would struggle to work without me so yes, I suppose they are both lucky to have me but I am lucky to have them as they do help to keep me going, even when I get "attitude"!
