Hi, I'm feeling it too as I have both osteoarthritis and fibro. Have sorted out the hot water bottles and wheatbags. Have you tried "Imove" for the osteo. Just started back on it. Used it last winter and it did make a difference. Didn't take all the pain away but did feel it helped. Came across it purely by accident. I use Yumove for the dog and it made such a difference to her that I joked about taking some myself and the supplier told me they did a human version called "Imove". I can't take prescription meds and as Imove has natural things in it I seem to tolerate it well.

Morning yes it gets you like that having to put up with more than one condition there is some brave people on the forum what do you take to help the pain ?? I already have ospenia my bones not in great shape for my age 56 deep heat and codiene Saturday and that was a day of resting. Having a few tears is the way we let our feelings out I wish I could take away the pain for you have you a chilled day planned as it's Sunday xx

Oh my heart goes out to you with your knees. I had my second knee replacement this year, and my first knee replacement eight years ago, and the one I had done eight years ago is causing me a lot of bother again. I really can't face another operation at least not just yet, I'll hang on as long as it takes, it's just getting over the first six to eight weeks that was the worst. At the moment though it's my lungs that's causing all my problems, seeing specialist on the 5th October, I'll see what help he is going to give my. I'm taking morpheme for my fibro which has worked s lot better than the Tramadol I used to take. I wish you well and hope you get something that will work for you, it's no joke all this pain and no rest. Take care. Xx

This damp weather isn't helping and the thought of the dark nights I doesn't help mood. I too have both of those conditions and Unused to live Autumn/Winter and now dread it.

I find the pain and muscle gels help as well as keeping myself especially my legs as warm as possible. Not sure if you have a bath but I used to love a soak in warm water and Epsom salts.x

Ooh yes epsom salts or if I am really pushing the boat out or someone has been kind and given me Dead Sea Salts with Rose petals - heaven!

Used to love that. I so wish we could have fitted a bath in as well as a shower in this bungalow. Mind you I was getting to the stage that somedays I needed a mini JCB to get me out of the bath, lol.x

I know the feeling - got grab rails absolutely everywhere in the bathroom! I dare not have a bath alone in the house otherwise I might need some rather burly firemen to help me out - now there's an image!

Well like the thought of the burly firemen but I think seeing me in the all together would make them consider a change of career, lol.

I once got stuck in the bath and OH had the TV on so loud downstairs he never heard my shouts. Managed to let the cold water out by hitching the plug out with my toe. It was about 3 hours later when he came up to use the loo he found me. Then I had to tell him I was having a bath and if he didn't hear me shout down in 3/4 of an hour he knew to come up. He insisted when we knew it was either a shower or a bath that we had the shower.x

oh dear. Think we should publish a book of all the things that happen to us fibro folk. My OH suffers from SDS (Selective Deafness Syndrome) so I would be shouting in the wind if I got stuck. Suppose he would finally realise I was there when he went to brush his teeth before bed!

I tell you if he had been watching a boxed set I could have been a skeleton before being discovered. I should have shouted down did he want some Apple pie. He would have run up the stairs lol.x

Its not a cream but a capsule. Yes lots of shops sell it although I bought mine direct from Lintbells the manufacturer. Some stores have it on special offer which helps as I tend to buy when I see special offers. Main ingredient is green lipped mussel. The dog managed to go from not being able to get up from her bed to jumping into the back of the car to go for a walk. Dogs haven't a clue about the placebo effect so it must have worked for her. I have noticed for myself things are easier and my daughter now takes it too.

Yep in the South. I think I got an emergency supply from holland and barrett but sorry brain is fuddled so can't remember exactly. Know that if you google Imove it will come up with suppliers.

savanarian2008 I too have OA in both knees- very little cartiledge left too- my physio is helping me pump up my leg muscles-this will make the muscles do the work knees should do, I am an avid tennis watcher and I followed Rafael Nadal story of his knees, he had 2 knew knees age 29! maybe youve seen the size of his muscles, I dont think I,ll get that good but as I plod on its helping- have you ever been offered hydrotherapy??
