Anyone have like burning pains in head, elbows, fingers now my above my nose hurts

Been getting scary burning like pains in elbows head fingers knees then have a cold patch on my leg. Yesterday my hip was so bad 😢 Doctors diagnosed me just with fibro but I find it hard to believe I've got worse and worse other the past few months. It's the head stuff that scare me the most!

I haven't been given any meds yet and got to see a rheumatologist next week I've just been taking setraline an anti depressant for about 2 weeks now. But had all these problems for 2 months now was given citalopram first but that just Made me ten times worse! Horrendous burning I just feel like no ones listening to me and think I'm making everything up 😢 I can't look forward to the future as I really think I have a serious disease I have 2 young children and no one believes me not even my partner, doctor or family

Hope the rheumi can give you some answers. I do have burning pains mostly across my back hands and feet. Fibro is a strange illness we never know what symptom it is going to give us next.x

Sorry to hear you are suffering so. Yes I get patches and spots that feel like I have burned myself or hurt it in some way. I have been dealing with it in my fingers since I was a child, but over the past couple of years it has come up on my arms more. I will ask my husband if the spot is red or looks hurt and he'll say no , then I know it is just my fibro.

From my understanding fibro is an over active nervous system. So these, to my understanding is just a prime example of a nerve over reacting. Maybe somewhere it is being compressed by a tight muscle or something. Not sure why it happens, but I like to think I understand.

By head stuff do you mean, memory/ fibro fog? Yes, that is a stresser. Have you tried fish oil/ omega 3 to see if it helps you? Blueberries are supposed to be good for memory.

I'm so sorry you are getting worse. I know I have progressed and the issues are global instead of only here and there. But I have found a few things that have helped me stabilize and stay functional in my life.

Everyone is different so what helps one won't always help another.

I found help with juicing, Apple cider vinegar drinks, stretching morning and night, foam rolling/any type of myofascial release, magnesium chloride oil diluted with distilled water, not sitting or moving too much- resting often but not for too long at a time, a regular bedtime and wake up time, Meditation/ mindful moments. All of those things have truly helped me continue my living and functioning as a mom, wife, house keeper and homeschooler.

I hope you can find something to help you in your life.

Thanks for your replies! My list is endless that's why the doctors won't believe me and have put it down to fibromyalgia because I have a lot of those similar symptoms but it's the pains in my head I get that scare me and the burning pains in elbows and fingers. I've never been a person to suffer with headaches so don't get them but every symptom you can have of an illness I have it's like I'm waiting for a mark, bump something to show them before it's too late! I had blood tests and the bruise took nearly two weeks to heal I know something's not right and scared 😳

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you can find answers soon. All my head pain is due to tight muscles, or so far that I can tell.

I itch, and have shooting pains even under my fingernails. I'm not sure if it's from fibro or meds. Today the itch was really bad on hands so I have broken blood vessels. It looks awful. I use a pres. cream and add allergy med. usually at night tho I did today so now I'll have morning sleepiness. Pains will sometimes make a knee give out. So crazy. I even have trouble turning over in bed. Grrrrrr. M.A.
