Just found out.

So the Dr has pretty much told me I've got Fibromyalgia, just waiting for a couple more tests to come back. I'm a little scared I have really bad days where my whole body doesn't seem to work properly, I've always had pain but over the last 6 months I've been hit with every single other symptom apart from anxiety and depression and they all just keep getting worse. My husband and I want to start trying for our 1st baby soon, I've seen friends with fibro suffer really bad, I've always thought I'd really enjoy pregnancy but feeling like this all the time has made me think that experience may already be ruined for me because of thìs. I need help to feel better I really don't want to be dependent on pills I'm only 26 I can't live the rest of my life like that. MUCH LOVE

Hi Mrs Fibro, So sorry to hear you may have fibro at such a young age and hoping to have a family. I think you should discuss things with your GP once all your test results are back. I can't offer any other advice sorry as I developed it a lot older than yourself but I am sure there are young mums on here who maybe able to share their experiences. My wish for you would be that once you conceived the fibro would suddenly disappear with the other changes in your body going on that would be wonderful, and I hope it all works out for you, It is such a weird condition. Sending hugs x

Thank you for responding, I plan on bringing it up with my GP at my next appointment, I know that everyone's different and what 1 person suffers with another may not, at this stage I feel like I just need to gather as much info and experience as I can, I think it's just me trying to let my self know what I could be in for.

hi so sorry you have developed fibromyalgia at such a young age - please read some of the more positive posts on this site, I have had fibromyalgia for over 6 years - and I have decided to go drug free, and the very healthy way - exercise, very healthy foods, supplements and pacing and I feel much better without drugs , yes I have bad days (when I fall off the wagon!) but you can have a good life if you try not to worry, stress, and be more "you"

- I find some people become more fibro than the person they really are - you are still you - you just need to pace yourself and look after yourself more - my friends are on "orders" from me not to keep saying "are you ok or are you well?" - I will tell them if I am having a bad day - because all that was being talked about was my illness - I am more than that - please try not to stress that is a trigger for pain , good luck for the future - you can have a good life - Neese x

Hope it's ok with you as just read your reply and wanted to say how encouraging it was to read it. I have had Fibro for over 12 years and yes I have tried quite a few medicines but nothing really improved! I don't think my doctor is impressed with me as I only take painkillers etc when absolutely desperate! I have read lots of research and believe that I need to ensure I improve my intake of various vitamins, minerals and amino acids. Also listened to ND Dr Peter Glidden /fibromyalgia youtube well keen to use natural remedies. He also mentions Dr Wallach suggesting Selenium supplement is helpful with Fibromyalgia. My problem is that I keep forgetting to take them!

Thank you for your response it's very reassuring, I know I'm going to have to figure out what's right for me and it's going to take a while but I will get there eventually.

I have a very high tolerance for pain and I don't mention my pain unless it's really bad, I don't want people to feel sorry for me, that's not who I am and there's no point in me going on about it anyway it's not going to make me any better, I need to learn how to live with it.

It's nice to be able to connect with people on here 😊

Hi MrsFibro6 Welcome to our wonderful forum, I'm sure you will love it and find it invaluable chatting to others who are going through the same as you, at different stages of their lives with fibromyalgia.

I'm sorry you are suffering so much at the moment. It usually takes some time to get a diagnosis and it can take just as long to understand and manage it.

There are lots of holistic therapies that a lot of members use and maybe your gp could refer you to a pain clinic, where you would be able to assess these resources. Hydrotherapy, accupunture, CBT treatment, that helps you learn a different way of thinking, to help you living with chronic pain condition.

I have had 3 children with fibro and worked for many yrs. I know everyone is different and its only you that can decide if you would manage or not my friend. It's good to learn as much as you can about all your options really.

I see our lovely TheAuthor has given you lots of info, so I look forward to chatting with you on the forum.

Luv Jan xx
