Update on sorry people I need to vent

The PCSO has been round today following my contact with them, basically he and his colleague said, 'have I had a mental health check done', they then said that I am not to contact them again. isn't British Justice wonderful, I am victimised and I am the one being told I have the problem

Hi, sorry to hear you are having such problems. They should be trying to help you, did they offer you any numbers of organisations that could help you ?

It sounds like you need some help. Its hard when you dont have family and friends nearby to support you and its bad enough dealing with fibro every day without neighbours giving you grief.

Try to do something to take your mind off it, have you got any hobbies ?

Ive taken up crochet, i tried to knit but my shoulder and arm hurt too much, crochet is easier for me. Ive made some baby blankets, baby slippers and a few cardigans which i just give away to anyone who wants them.

I used to have so many hobbies but now i cant do them because of the fibro. So its best to find new things to do that give you a sense of achievement or just for pleasure.

I find doing my hobbies and doing things for others takes my mind off the fibro for a while.

I knit and sew when my hands allow. no they just said NOT to contact them, the original PCSO said that he did have a problem with the woman next door who was abusive and aggressive towards me last week, but all of the others including the ring leader have told him that they are 'just trying to help me', wow, would love to see what they class as harassment if they think what they are doing is trying to help me.

Hi, sorry i wasnt able to reply sooner. Hope today has been a better day for you. You could contact the council they might be able to help. If you need to call police i would just call them, if you are on your own then you are vulnerable and they have a duty to help you.

Failing that call the samaritans and talk to them and explain the situation. They are not just for suicidal people, they are there to help before it ever gets to that point. just dont suffer alone.

I do hope the situation gets sorted for you, so that you can focus on your own health and live a happy and peaceful life.

The PCSOs are the "not real police officers"? If they are, I've met similar but not quite so blunt and rude. Called police after a cold caller ( who ignored the no cold callers sign) starting shouting at me. Support officer arrived and frankly looked terrified at the thought he might have to confront someone. Told me it was his first week and he wasn't sure what to do........

Sorry you're having trouble. If you can record ( voice ot video on phone) any abuse towards yourself that will help. Call the police and insist they come out.

If the abusers live in social housing you can call the council and in privately rented accommodation the landlord as it is probably a contravention of their tenancy agreement.

I am so genuinely sorry to read this my friend and it is not the kind of support or response form them that you needed! I would still ring the police if there is any trouble and you feel in danger at any time my friend. I would also go to the local authority time and time again until they start to take some notice. I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.

That seems an extremely harsh and uncaring response from someone whose job it is to reassure members of the public when they feel threatened, as you obviously do.

I have had issues with my neighbours , but over time we have developed an uneasy truce. I find ignoring them works best, and use my headphones to listen to music if they are being particularly loud and obnoxious.

Shutting them out of your life in every way you can is the only way you will feel free of stress. If they can't wind you up over things, they may decide not to try anymore.

I am so sorry you are going through this, I know only too well, how helpless you can feel.

That's a statement contrary to the police act as they are public servants!

With me if having an issue like that they'd have to come out as im deemed a vulnerable adult as in the autistic spectrum having Asperger's as your rated as can become withdrawn/depressed/suicidal to opposite way reacting quite violently if feeling threatened to a triggering degree. one of those things that's situation dependant!.

so for them to say don't contact them again it's not for that 'plastic hobby bobby' to say and infact could get them into bigger issues!

As they don't know things like your mental status as i have an order under the home secretary in the mental health act so something they can't ignore/sweep under the carpet.

Ive often been asked when had to ring if have any issues.Fibro &any of that stuff can mention like being very imobile etc etc.

Or like might having breathing/heart issues

It is against the law for them to make that statement Seek legal advice as they are NOT ALLOWED to tell you not to contact them again I read somewhere about a case very similar to this and the person i9nvolved died as a result of that silly statement being made !!

there was one a few years back where a woman killed her disabled daughter, then herself because Leicestershire police did nothing about them being bullied, I live only a mile or so from the village where that happened

Hello Catherine,

As a retired Police Officer, I read your post with sadness.

You are most certainly entitled to contact the Police if you are the victim of anti social behaviour or any other crime.

Just because you have been rudely dismissed by a PCSO with an instruction not to contact them again does not make this right.

There should be a Sergeant in charge of the policing team and certainly an Inspector in charge of the area.

If you have problems then do call again and insist on speaking with a supervisor.

If it were me, I would make a complaint about their rudeness.

Another option would be to write to the Chief Superintendent who is the person in charge of policing your area. That is guaranteed a response.

You are entitled to live in peace and go about your life without fear.

I wish you the best of luck and hope that the situation improves for you.
