fibromyalgia and joint hypermobility

When I was 7 I was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis.. as I grew older it developed according to the specialist... when I turned 16 I was told it was fibromyalgia and joint hypermobility throughout my body.

Unfortunately non of the medication helps my pain. I've tried swimming but found I can't move the next day. Tried jogging but then my muscles in my leg spasm that much I can't relax. I also have bipolar and S.p.t.s.d and I feel mental health in very much so a friend of fibro.. as the depression of the pain.. the sleepless nights.. been a mum.. working.. the strains of no support.. I find that depression creeps in majorly.. . But then again fibro people normally get fobbed off with anti depressants.. as the docs are lee to shrug it off... yes diet change can help but not in all cases.. when will the find something that can fix it?? Now that would be damn helpful wouldn't it.. xx

Hi fluffyloz85

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I have pasted for you below a link to our mother site, FMA UK which hosts loads of useful Fibro information:

fmauk.org/

I am aware that there is a great deal of testing underway in the several countries but alas they are not coming up with any possible new treatments from these?

I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

Thank you very much.. today's not a bad day so far. Taken a pregablin and some naproxen. Still in pain but my mind is stronger today so it's a little easier to fight the pain xx

Hello and welcome just wanted to hi and please keep us updated on your progress.

Thankyou for sharing as The AUthor has already sent a great deal of valuable information it will be good for you to get the support you need and i am sure the experiences of others will help ti empower you.

Hi flufflloz - Oh my - You have really had a hard time of it. I feel bad enough for people that get RD as an adult, but at least they have gotten to have some of their life without it. But JRA is heartbreaking.

And you are right of course. These disease processes are confusing at best and can make us angry and depressed which can get worse with no support structures. You will find a lot of support on this site, as well as a lot of information too.

It doesn't sound to me like your fibromyalgia is well controlled at all. You might want to call your GP and let them know what you are going through. Are you taking any muscle relaxers? I find that one at night will help me to sleep better..
