Artritis

Good afternoon!!! Someone here has arthritis i have arthritis in my neck. I feel a lot of discomfort.

Oh, I have that too Biakey - cervical spondylosis they call it. For a long time the doctors kept saying it was "just my fibromyalgia" but I eventually persuaded them to X-ray my neck and then they realised there was something else going on in there. The most painful time is at night - it's so difficult to find a comfortable position in bed. I always wake up with a horrible headache at the back of my head, and that stems from the neck arthritis.

I'm just about to go for physio on it on Friday this week. I hope that helps a bit. Do you find anything which helps?

Have you seen our mother site fmauk.org ? Here you will find a wealth of information including guides and links.

I notice you are on several other HU sites but this is your first time here. Do you have a diagnosis of fibromyalgia? It can come with other conditions and arthritis is one of them.

Are you on pain medication and does it help? I find a wheatbag heated in a microwave and put on my neck gives some relief, even if only temporary.

I have arthritis and spondylosis in my neck to go along with my Fibro. It is a horrid and painful thing to live with. Thanks Ken. I do not feel any pain but the stiffness and the discomfort leaves me very stressed. horrible

Good morning I hope everything going well with you. What do you do for this disease not to progress these arthritis problems ?? Do you take any medications?? U do exercises ???

Hi Hidden

I take medication which consists of Pregabalin, Nortriptyline and Cocodamol, and Sumatriptan for Migraines. I undertake a gentle exercise routine which takes about 20 minutes a day and I also use a TENS Machine. Sadly, I can never guarantee that they are going to work on any particular day?

Hi Hidden Yes, I have a form of wear and tear arthritis in my neck called Cervical spondylosis. It is very painful and causes very bad headaches. If you have something like this I would talk to your doctor about it as there are medications if you can take them? I am allergic to them as they are NSAIDs.

Thanks for answering. My doctor said it was arthritis as a manifestation. I do not feel any pain I feel stiffness and discomfort I do not use any medication I do exercise as usual. Msssagem Acupuncture. Im very worry about my health. 😊
