Sorry me again!

Sorry but I need your wealth of knowledge again.

I've developed an angry rash on my back. It's only palm size at the moment but it is inflamed and itchy. I've been taking 20mg of amitriptyline. Could it be a reaction to this? Has anyone else suffered from a rash?

Sorry Paffette cannot help you with that one and I take 50 or 75mg amitriptyline each day...I hope someone can help....

Do get this checked out, especially if you have recently started a new medication, I take amitriptyline with no problems, also if you have any other unusual symptoms never ignore anything xx

Hi I think if this is a new medication for you then get the rash checked. It could be a number of things something as simple as heat rash. If your worried I would call the surgery and speak with your GP.

Hi Paffette71 don't be sorry my friend, that's what we are here for 😉 im sorry you have this rash, I've never heard of amitriptyline causing a rash before but it's one of them. If it's New, you should definitely get it checked out because it could be so many things.

Sorry hun I too take amytriptalene- not had any side effects like that - only dry mouth.

Suggest you go to your GP could be shingles - you would have pain with this too. Good luck 😘😘🤗🤗

Paffette 71, you an Google any drug and find out its side effects.It could be shingles or spider bite or bite from another insect. You should have it checked ASAP since you said it was angry! When you call for appt, stress that it is angry looking so they will get you in ASAP. 😘
