Hi i have had FM for about 6 years now but i also had discs removed from my spine as it was crushing my root nerves still in pain had another MRI scan which shows dashed nerves but I've not claimed pip even though i struggle with my mobile and am in constant pain as i was told I could lose my ESA but i really need help now getting up and so on please give me your opinions please x

PIP has nothing to do with ESA its a separate benefit

If you type PIP scores into your browser you will find out how points are awarded and for what

however the scores you feel you should get and what they give you may be worlds apart

I suggest you start collecting medical evidence and a diary before making claim so you are ready.

Hi glynbo it's good to see you back on the forum ☺ I'm sorry you are struggling so much at the moment. If you are in constant pain & having difficulty with your mobility you can put in a claim for PIP. and if you need help with the claim form and professional guidance, it's advisable to give your local Citizens Advice Bureau a call because they will help you. If you are alone, you can also call your social services and ask for a home assessment & they will get an OT to come & assess your needs, you may be entitled to other help if you are struggling so much.

I am so genuinely sorry to read that you are suffering and struggling and I agree totally with your other two replies. I owuld definitely look into applying for PIP my friend. I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.
