Whoohooo happy days indeed. I am sure you meant to write PIP not DLA . I am so pleased for you what a great relief you must feel.

That's wonderful I bet it is a relief, what rates did you get? Was it what you were hoping forx

Full dla rate in Ireland €192 pw it seems. My income in form of esa from uk where most of my working life, 30yrs, was will be deducted from that. So not quite sure how this all pans out. All my assessments where for the uk officials conducted by Irish government, where I came back to live. These benefits are a mine field. The above is probably as clear as mud! In Ireland you don't get the 'car' option either!

That is complex what a minefield for you. I don't suppose until it all starts to be paid out you will really know where you are. In most of the UK people have already been asked to claim for the dreaded PIP. They keep on talking about trying to put ESA and PIP together and make it taxable. I would put nothing past them.

I am grateful for my PIP as I use it to run my old car and pay for private acupuncture so it has been a blessing..So many people who have had to transfer over to PIP from DLA have lost their mobility cars I know they get a £2000 transitional payment but that wouldn't pay for some adaptions that people need let alone a decent reliable car.

I hope it is good news for you when it is sorted.x

It is. I was working full time up till last September. So I have been filling forms and answering questions since then! Not easy when you are so ill. Xx

Thank you peck. I'm waiting on my daughter to come over in two weeks to bring me over to uk. My 3adult children and all my grandchildren live there. I thought I would like to retire home but it's not that easy. I may not come back! Lol just looking for to seeing them all and my son is getting married. Can't wait. Remain blessed and as well as possible xx

Awe I'm glad you both are ok. I'm going for respiratory rehabilitation in the morning (at 9am!) assessment part again as I'm going to my family for a few weeks I won't be able to complete the ten weeks until I return.

Take care x
