Hi laneyh11

Please don't worry, our members here will help you with tips and hints.

Make an appointment with the Citizens Advice. If there is not one in your area contact your local council Welfare Benefits Advisor.

Collect copies of letters from outpatient clinics, blood tests, xrays etc from your GP surgery. Go back about 2 years and discard anything not in your favour. If you give your surgery a few days to do the copies and say you need them for the DWP there should not be a charge.

Remember to write down as if it is your worst day and include aids such as shower stool, grab rails etc. You need to say you suffer at least 3-4 days a week to get points.

Hope this helps give you a few ideas.

Hi laneyh11, I submitted my pip form back in December. I can understand why you're worried the form is more of a book! I still don't have an answer as to whether or not I will receive pip but I can say don't rush, take your time and if it helps write down your struggles over a few days so you know exactly what issues you have day to day. It's easy to forget where you struggle and how you've adapted tasks to make things easier on yourself. Wishing you lots of luck xx

Hi laneyh11

I have pasted below a link to the *CAB cache entitled: Help filling in your PIP claim form, and it says it can help by:

*Use our Personal Independence Payment (PIP) guidance to help you fill in your PIP claim form. There is advice for each question, including:

what the questions mean

what to write about in your answers

examples of answers people might give

help explaining how your illness or disability affects you

PIP is based on how your condition affects you. It's not based on your particular illness or disability, or your medication.
