Hi all, I'm new to this group, I'm 28 and have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia last September. I had my daughter 8 years ago and started suffering with pain in my shoulders and neck and extremely bad headaches. I suffered for 7 and half years before Dr's put me on medication. I have found that recently I constantly feel like the areas affected are on fire, I'm swallon when it flares up I'm really snappy and can't concentrate and feel tired all the time. I was in work today and all I wanted to do was crying I couldn't sit still with the pain I was in. Does anyone else suffer these sort of symptoms?

Hi Fibro_sufferer88

I am so genuinely sorry to read of your suffering and struggling, and I sincerely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to your pain issues. Fibro affects everyone differently but many Fibro sufferers also endure secondary conditions such as arthritis. I have pasted below an excerpt form the *NHS Choices cache on rheumatoid arthritis:

*NHS Choices - Rheumatoid Arthritis:

*The main symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis are joint pain, swelling and stiffness. It may also cause more general symptoms, and inflammation in other parts of the body. ... The symptoms vary from person to person. They can come and go, and may change over time.

It may well be worth talking to your doctor about the possibilities that some of this pain is caused by this? If so, there are medications that you could discuss with your doctor to help ease the symptoms? When my pain becomes too much for me I use a TENS Machine. I have pasted you a link to the **NHS Choices cache on this below also:

I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken
