Flower of the week

Found this in flower now. Saw it from a distance and wondered what the colour was. The late winter sun was highlighting it. Hope you are all keeping warm and painfree this cold week. Helen X

It seems too delicate to survive winter, I love something blooming unexpectedly.x

Hi rosewine, It was an unexpected find. My bulbs are showing in the back garden and I am looking forward to Spring. Hopefully this cold snap will soon be over. Have a great pain free day. Helen X

I have bought two plants and unfortunately it has suddenly taken a cold turn so they are sitting in the garage and one is in flower. We have the builders here so getting to anything like a trowel is impossible, I think I will have to fish it out and put it on the patio as I hate the thought of it blooming away all unseen.x

It's beautiful Helen. I love the way you've caught the rays of the sun on it too. Is it some sort of Rose by the leaf and bud?

Hi Hartleyhare, yes it is a rose. It was the sunlit colour that caught my attention in an otherwise all green place. Have a great pain free day. Helen X

Thanks my friend, that is truly stunning! I smacks of the wild range of Cyclamen that you find in this country? :)

Just a word of warning for any gardeners out there. The oncoming cold snap could kill off any bulbs that are starting to poke through prematurely. It is best to drop a bit of soil over the top of them to ensure that they are covered.

I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken x :)

Really nice! X

I agree with Hartleyhare it looks like a rose by the leaf - but flower looks like a helibore (don't think spelling quite right) - on walking Bob the dog the village where I put up a piccie for Fenbadger to have a look at - there is a carpet of snowdrops around the trees - gorgeous - my daffs are ready to flower as buds are there - don't worry Ken they are in a sheltered spot 😁 Take care everyone 😘😘🤗🤗
