Disability assessment

Hi good folks, I was invited to a social welfare disability assessment yesterday. I stopped at a shop to look for half hour and...took a blooming serious asthma attack. First aider and staff were really nice. Phoned doctors after my rescue meds were slow to control the episode. She very helpfully phone the lady whose name was on the letter for my assessment and explained I couldn't attend. They drove me back home 2hrs later and I've been on settee all night and today. Totally wrecked. Benefits people now doing a home assessment. Hate all this .

Hope you all remain as well as possible xx

Oh gosh you poor love!

I am guessing the stress of the upcoming assessment triggered your asthma attack.

I don't think any thought is given to the fact that we are already suffering enough without having to jump through all these hoops.

So many of us have worked all of our lives and never claimed anything in benefits before.

Instead of trying to get everyone off sick pay, why don't they start looking at people that have been on JSA for years.

Please take care of yourself my friend. I guess it's a small consolation that you now have a home visit.

Wishing you much peace

Lu xx

Hello Ken, I'm doing okay. Blooming thing just floored me. I am staying with my sis a few days just to rest properly. It's hard to rest on your own when life needs still have to be taken care of.

How are you? Remain blessed and as well as possible x
