New diagnosis

Hi all, was diagnosed a few weeks ago and been experiencing this after a car accident. I would like to ask some advice about fatigue/fibro fog as this is my biggest annoyance. I used to work 80 hours a week, bounce around like a tornado and suffered from insomnia. Now I spend my days struggling to get out of bed at 3pm (sleeping well over 12 hours), and balancing my awake hours between eating and being a zombie on the sofa. I feel like the weeks and months are whooshing by. Any help or advice is much appreciated xx

Hi PurpleLinings

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I have pasted you a link below to our mother site, *FMA UK which hosts loads of useful Fibro information:

I have pasted you a couple of excerpts and a link below to the **NHS Choices cache on ''Fog and Fatigue'' as it also gives some useful treatment ideas:

Sadly, Fibro fog is one of the most annoying things going in my opinion!

**Cognitive problems ('fibro-fog')

Cognitive problems are issues related to mental processes, such as thinking and learning. If you have fibromyalgia, you may have:

trouble remembering and learning new things

problems with attention and concentration

slowed or confused speech

**Fatigue

Fibromyalgia can cause fatigue (extreme tiredness). This can range from a mild, tired feeling to the exhaustion often experienced during a flu-like illness.

Severe fatigue may come on suddenly and can drain you of all your energy. If this happens, you may feel too tired to do anything at all.

I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.

All my hopes and dreams for you
