Hi just wondering if anyone has severe fibro symptoms when the weather is hot. It has been around 34 degrees c here in victoria australia since Xmas eve and i am in a lot of pain. Been here for 34 years now and still dread the summer months. What i would give for a nice cold scottish winter (or summer!!)

I'm in the UK. I have difficulty with heat and cold. At the moment it's too cold for me.

Hi alykat57.....I think many of us feel worse in extreme temperatures..personally I find heat the worst as I find I can cope with the cold but cannot cope with the heat!! xx

It's dry, cold and frosty here in Wales, not surprising as the sky was clear, it was wonderful to see the stars.

How I long for a summer in Adelaide though, dry heat is good for me, humidity not so much.

As I know Victoria can be humid how is it at the moment? Which do you suffer with most? It makes some difference as to how to deal with.

Very humid. High temps and a lot of rain. More like Queensland than victoria. Makes me a bit grumpy.

I may be wrong but water won't help as you'll feel just as bad when you get out. Airconditioning? Is there a room in the house which is cooler that the others, you can go in, shut the door and maybe have a breeze. Do they still use Terrazzo in laundry/bathroom, maybe a thin mat on the floor and lay down for a while if you can bear it?

I've run out of ideas for now, let me know how you get on, it can't last forever!

Hi there down under! here in UK I find I want to get into a warm bath or hydropool to relieve my fibro pain, summer months (when we get any) feels a better option but the cold is nasty to anyone here with any form of arthritis or muscle problems

Hi,

I really feel for you, I couldn't cope with that!

Summer is better for me unless it is humid, but anything over 24C is too hot and causes me more pain.

This year I got a sports cooling towel, the kind where you enough water to make it damp and it gets colder, it was bliss!

Hope you can find some relief from the heat.

Gentle hugs x

Hi my friend

I am so genuinely sorry to read that you are suffering and struggling in the heat but I have to admit that I struggle in the cold of the Blighty winter! My Fibro symptoms do tend to ease a little in the British summertime. I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken
