I get a weird feeling going either up my back or chest a lot and I get twitches sometimes.

I think it began last year, I don't have any mental illnesses from what I know of such as anxiety nor depression. I can't find anything online that relates to this.

But I get a weird feeling going up my chest or up my back also small twitches such as twitching my head or shoulders sometimes.

If someone else has this and knows what the causes is please tell me I'm just curious.

Thank you.

Hi Poge

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I have pasted you a link below to our mother site, FMA UK which hosts loads of useful Fibro information:

fmauk.org/

I am so genuinely sorry to read that you are experiencing twitching in this way, and I have pasted you an excerpt from the *Healthline website that may explain what is happening for you:

*Twitching can occur after physical activity because lactic acid accumulates in the muscles used during exercise. It most often affects the arms, legs, and back. Muscle twitches caused by stress and anxiety are often called “nervous ticks.” They can affect any muscle in the body.15 Apr 2016

If your twitching persists or gets any worse it may be best to talk to your doctor or medical specialist about it just to have other medical conditions ruled out of the equation.

I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

I have this I don't worry about it also I get a really body shake often not the type you get before you go to sleep, it's weird . If your worried go see dr and he might be able to help . I tend to think it's all down to fibro I'm guessing .Hope you have a lovely weekend x

As fibro affects the muscles it can make them tight and painful and sometimes the body can react in this way it is as though the muscle is giving tiny clenches. Meds can also do strange things. My spine can also beat like a heartbeat used to worry me to death but Gp said because of the degeneration in my spine it was it catching on some nerve endings and after that never bothered me. Worth having a word with your GP just to make sure.x

Low magnesium levels could cause the twitching. And have you tried stretching the neck muscles? My tight neck muscles will sometimes pull on my chest muscles down in the center is where I will feel it the most. But stretching neck chest shoulder will help. And with my back- neck and shoulder muscles back muscles all need to be stretched then if it still hurts or if the pain is low in the back- stretch all 3 butt muscles all leg muscles calf and ankle. I have tight muscles pulling on tight muscles so tight feet/ankle/calf muscles will pull on tight muscles (painful knees) those right muscles will pull on butt and groin muscles, butt muscles pull on back muscles& groin muscles pull on stomach muscles which both lead to shoulder and neck and then face.

Getting them all balanced helps me with pain. But keeping them balanced isn't easy.

I found amazing results when I was stretching 2× a day, juicing 3-4 × a day and eating a very healthy dinner with a small portion of chicken. I exercised every day and got regular chiropractor adjustments and massage therapy. - I think that was it. Oh and foam rolling.

But it was really hard for me to function with my homeschool cleaning that dang juicer that many times was just too much. But I haven't felt that good since.

Anyways sorry if I rambled to much.

××× good luck.

I get these type of twitching and my doctor told me it was down to my fibromyalgia. Massage sometimes helps with mine. I hope this helps you out but if it is worrying you do go and see your doctor.

I twitch in different areas and my muscles experience spontaneous spasms, I get pains and like electric shocks in many areas too, chest and legs being one. It may be your muscles stiffening, but if in doubt I would get it checked. I used to panic thinking the worst all the time, but after many years of it and me still being here I learnt how my fibro empresses itself in me. If there's anything happening that you're not familiar with, then see your gp if nothing more than to ease your mind. I learned the language of most of my fibro symptoms, but I do still experience new blitters from time to time. I pray you receive the peace you seek and wish blessings on you, health and well-being. God bless. Take care. Regards, Jay.
