M.E...not fibro/ maybe both!! Will I ever feel better.

hi everyone, I haven't posted for a while, symptoms been worst than ever. The last time I posted, I mentioned an appt with rheumatologist..who believes I have M.E and I'm now waiting for an appt at a fatigue/pain management clinic to see a neurologist..Im still hanging on to my job although lately I feel like giving up the fight. Have been signed off for 2weeks, as my GP feels the stress os making my symptoms worse..I informed my manager, then the next day I received a letter through the letterbox, marked hand delivered..Basically ut outlined all the time off sick, and a meeting I have to attend, aswell as a small reminder this could lead to dismissal😠.

I am now seeing a counsellor(OT and GP thought it would help) and I am seeking legal advice.

I'm fed up with fighting for my job,its just causing more stress, that make my symptoms worse. And they ain't got me out the door yet, but have already employed someone to step into my shoes. 😭I know feel not needed or wanted at my workplace and I would like nothing more than to be able to tell them to shove their job where the sun dont shine, but I cant afford too.

As far as being 'sacked' I understand that you are covered by Disabled Laws. They have to make allowances for illness. I know I wrote, send by recorded delivery stating that under Disability Discrimination Laws they must make allowances. Talk to Disability Discrimination people who are very helpful. Good luck

I use a hope for the best plan for worst with good and bad times arriving unexpected.

Sometimes life comes along regardless of affordable I ended up sleeping in my clothes because sleeping in a chair between work was all I had energy for.

Don,t let inconsiderate bosses bully you- too many are only interested in their profits not their people! If you have put in valid sick notes each time then you have covered yourself. If the boss wants a meeting then invite him to your home -tell him you cannot get to the workplace or you would do, he won.t feel comfortable outside his comfort zone at work and If he agrees to see you at home find a mate who has good knowledge on workers rights and ask them to be present, make your boss aware otherwise he will accuse you of ganging up on him and end a meeting (then he.ll know what you felt like) there are laws to protect workers fro unscrupulous employers, depending on your age you might want to discuss early retirement BUT do your homework on that first- find out what help you would get like ESA, housing benefit, warm winter heating from your energy supplier, possibly PIP.. I was in private housing when I had to stop work early, the local housing moved me to a ground floor flat, helped with decorating and registered me with a housing officer to looks after people with disabilities however great or small they are...Maybe you could find yourself a Wekfare Right officer in your Town- google them- they will really help you.

I feel for you I really do. I had a boss who was a terrible bully, the grief we put up with in work we would never tolerate in the real world. I think employers are taking advantage because they know how difficult it is to get a job these days. Fight them, better still get someone to fight them for you so its less stress - are you in a Union? I wish I had sued my old employers but when you're stressed out like that its easier and more importantly healthier to just wash your hands of them. Wishing you lots of luck

Do not quit, whatever the provocation or you will lose all your rights and you will be unable to claim JSA. There is a procedure that employers have to follow in order to legally sack you. Firstly they have to know about your condition as they have to make certain allowances for you, and there is a definite set of steps for them to follow first. The Author (Ken) has given you sites which will help you understand your rights. Make sure your employer knows these too, in writing.
