Fibromyalgia Patient Experience Survey

Healthwatch_Trafford profile image

Hi all. My name is Joanna, I am working at Healthwatch Trafford who are conducting research on the experience of people with Fibromyalgia, including experiences in accessing NHS services. We will use the results of this survey to create a report of people's experiences of Fibromyalgia in the Trafford area, highlighting areas where experiences are good, and those where improvement may be needed. Although this survey is being carried out in Trafford, please do fill it out regardless of your local authority; the results will be passed on to your local Healthwatch.

We need you to fill this out so we can get a complete picture of services, so our report can be as accurate and comprehensive as possible.

The survey can be found here: surveymonkey.co.uk/r/RT8H6BC

If you are affected by Fibromyalgia we would really appreciate hearing your experiences - it should only take a few minutes. Once completed, the report will be available via our website: healthwatchtrafford.co.uk/

The Healthwatch network is made of up of local Healthwatch across each of the 152 local authority areas and Healthwatch England, the national body. We are an independent organisation and as a Local Healthwatch we help people get the best out of their local health and social care services; whether it’s improving them today or helping to shape them for tomorrow. Your responses will remain completely anonymous and although we will publish a report based on all responses, individual's answers will never be made public.

After you've filled this in, please do pass this on to anyone that it may be relevant to so we can collect as many responses as possible. Thank you!

Hi Healthwatch_Trafford

I sincerely hope that you are all as well as you can possibly be today?

I was kindly wondering if you had approached FMA UK prior to posting your survey, as is common practice with these things? I have pasted you a link below so you can contact our head office regarding this if you have not already done so:

I have completed 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Hi Ken,

Thanks very much for your reply! Yes, FMA are aware of the survey and are set to share it on their twitter within the next few days. We also worked with a local Fibromyalgia support group (that is listed on the FMA UK website) to construct the survey.

It remains open until the 21st August 2016 and we would like to thank everyone who has filled it in so far, and do encourage as many more people to fill in as possible. Our aim is to get a picture of services available for Fibromyalgia and highlight any areas that are excelling or need improvement. The more responses we get, the more complete the picture.

Please do pass on to anyone you know who it's relevant to!

Many Thanks,

Joanna
