Hi ive just joined this website. As a fellow fibromyalgia sufferer im finding life really difficult at the moment with moving about, having to rest lots. im not going to give up, i am determined to keep going. Ive suffered with this condition for about 11 years and now, Im on lots of meds to help with the pain. Can anyone recommend medication they use or any herbal remedies or vitamins that are worth a try to make life easier?

Umm. I have used.. doterra's lifelong vitality pack and it helped a little with energy. Fish oil has always helped a little with fibro fog, spirulina- an algae- find a trustable brand -organic - it has a lot of nutrients and has helped a little in the past, with energy. Tumeric root and Ginger are great anti-inflammatory- for that matter changing to an anti-inflammatory diet might do wonders- juicing has done amazing things for me and is a great anti-inflammatory addition to a diet. I have found on YouTube a man called MarcAshley said he had suffered from fibro for years and did wonders with juicing.

I'm sure there's more I'm just not thinking of right now.

Try full range motion exercises, they help me a lot.

I wouldn't make it without my monthly visit to massage therapist and chiropractor. I also am constantly self massaging. :) sounds more fun than it actually is. :) I have massaged myself to a bruise lots of times but heck the muscle just needs to loosen. But anyways I hope something here will help. Good luck.

Welcome Pistachio from Nurse Gladys Emanuel (open all hours) it is advisable to only take meds prescribed by a doc. Any herbal remedies he/she will also advise, it is possible to take too many vits and make yourself feel worse. I get a rub in gel from g.p called diclofenac/voltarol that I use on my hands, knees and sore muscle areas at top of my arms where I have calcium crystal disease, ask your g.p for a trial and you can also buy it OTC (over the counter) if it proves good..

Hi Pistachio

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I have pasted you a link below to our mother site, FMA UK which hosts loads of useful Fibro information:

fmauk.org/

I take a regular vitamin D3 twice daily but as Hidden says, it is much better to try and get them on prescription to ensure that you need the supplements anyway? I also use a TENS Machine along with my medication.

I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken
