Hi everyone well I went for my Dr's appointment today to see if u could get any more pain relief. First I asked if I could do hydro he said that would be good but they no longer have it,then I asked about any more pain killers, that's no good as all of them give me a bad reaction. Morphine I said he said no not recomended realy. Ok so what now I asked what if I take 2 lyrica at night and one in morning. Yes the dr said you can do that . I also phoned for a rhematology appointment unfortunately nothing till September so that will have to be,going to see if I can have pain relief through injection in back and hips maybe . You won't beat me fybro 😈.So that's my day hope you are all fighting well .❀

Good for you, don't let it get you down! 😊

Can you go to your local sports centre and do a little bit of floating etc in the pool there and some have jacuzzis, which might help you too.

Good luck and take care. 😊

Yes good point I'm going to Google it now and Thank you take care 😊

I,m afraid hosp appts, are rare now, the only way is to book a private cons, you,ll be seen within 4 days..Awful but they might know another hydro not too far away (I have access to 2 within 10 miles) they might also send you to pain clinic for better relief, everything seems to have price now!

As said already unfortunately certain things are getting rarer due to the constant cutting of finances, It is also felt that morphine etc aren't useful for fibro pain even though a fair number of us are on it.

Hope you do may to get some help there is nothing worse

Good to hear you're in fighting spirit. Hydro might be available in another hospital in or working in partnership with your NHS Trust in UK. Let me know if you're in East London. I'll tell you.

There's plenty other meds. Derivative of morphine are commonly used, ie Tramadol. Morphine itself is used if you are still in pain after all fails and you want to try. In the NHS we count how often you come to see us. You have to go again and complain if the pain is more than bearable. Look in the British National Formula (BNF) online for Analgesia and fibromyralgia or Chronic pain. Start there. Ie Tapentatol. We have a Duty of Care of not leaving you in pain.

Pain Clinic is your other option if your Gp plays silly mouse. Tell him. OK, it seems I need specialist help. Please refer me...

Arnica (Homeopathy) in most heath shop can do wonders. Acupuncture, Acupressure are other things you can try, some on the NHS. All the best. πŸ’—

Blessings.

You're most welcome.

You can try TENS machine too.

Heat or cold system might help. Ie hot water bottle.

So I guess you're NOT in East London? Pity. Alternate Therapies on NHS available there. πŸ’—

Blessings.

You might be covered. Try calling 020 3448 8873, secretary, and ask if you are.

People in East London are entitled to be referred for alternate therapy on NHS. You'll have to be able to argue that ie:

(I) mainstream meds are not enough, you are already on max doses.

(b) Or want to save some higher doses for latter on in life as lifelong illness

(ii) or They don't work ie you react to them badly,

(iii)it I'd your cultural or spiritual belief to stick to Natural Meds first or whenever necessary

(iv) you already take a truck load of meds. You're trying to save your kidneys and liver some pain here!

Ask your GP to refer you to The London Homeopathic NHS Trust. A very good GP & Herbalist also trained in Homeopathy is Dr Bercovitz. He'll refer you as needed) fax no for referral is 020 3448 4757. They can fax for a referral form if they need one!!

Hope that helps.

All the best. πŸ’— Blessings.

There is a hydro pool at St George's Tooting. Different health authority to me but I attend a rheumatology clinic there because of my other conditions. The consultant referred me via the physio department. They were quite helpful so might be worth giving them a ring to see if they can help.

Otherwise if you can afford it you might find a private one. Whilst waiting for St George's I had a couple of one to one sessions in a local care home where they have a hydro pool.

Hope you can find somewhere.

Hi Thunder1

I am so gneuinely sorry to read that you are suffering and struggling and I sincerely hope that you can find some resolution to this.

I have pasted you a link below and an excerpt relating to TENS Machines, so I sincerely hope that you find this useful:

How can I try a TENS machine?

You can ask your doctor to refer you to a physiotherapist to try a TENS machine. If

TENS helps to relieve your pain, your physiotherapist is likely to give you between

20 minutes and a couple of hours with the machine. It may take a few sessions to get

used to. TENS can be used for one hour on, one hour off, throughout day.

nhs.uk/conditions/physiothe...

I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken
