Hi all, I finally have my MRI results back after waiting for nearly 8weeks the saga with my thigh pain continuous my report says my brain is ok with only age related changes my cervical spine is another thing it shows c3/4/5/6&7 protruding and advice is needed from my gp as they have said I need spinal surgery my gp is away for a week so another waiting game to see what he says I'm feeling very apprehensive about surgery unless they can erasure me that the spine problem is causing my years of constant violent thigh pain, sorry if I've waffled but just wanted to update anyone who knows me and let them know where I'm at, I need to push though the pain today as I've got my daughters baby shower that I have organised. Take care all joanne x

I can relate to you completely! I'm having exactly the same thing. My GP currently thinks it's coming from compression of my sciatic nerve at L5/S1. But I have more severe problems at C4/5 and C5/6. I hadn't realised that the cervical problems can affect the thigh. It is really acute in where my hip joint is. Your cervical problem is different as in the protruding discs, mine are almost gone!

Do you get a vibrating sensation in your leg below the knee?

Sorry, back to you 😳. If you are being offered surgery then consider it. I know it's a huge risk, as is any spinal surgery. What is it they are planning to do? You will have to weigh up if it's worth the chance to get rid of the pain. Maybe get your life back? It's a hard decision to make, so get as much detail as you can. Surgeons won't normally operate on the spine unless they have to. I really hope that the op helps you if you choose to go for it. Keep smiling 🐸

I'm sorry to hear this as my mom had simular issue a few years back along with sciatica. She decided to have the surgery was to take about 8 hours. After 12 hours and 2 weeks of inpatient physical therapy, I'm pleased to say she is totally PAIN FREE, says she feels great.I would like yo add she is the BEST mom ever.Good luck my friend.Peck🐤

Hope you enjoy it!

I bet you were hoping that something they could easily put right rather than spinal surgery. It must be a very difficult decision to have to make. Good luck with whatever you decide. Let us know how you get on.x

Sounds like you've been through such an awful time with the thigh pain. The stress of everything else can't be helping, although I guess some things must be easy to deal with in comparison.

I really hope your doctor makes a decision quickly! I hope you're daughter's baby shower is a success, I'm sure it'll be lovely. Take care.

Hi I've just come across this thread about the violent thigh pain. Could it be possible you have peripheral arterial disease maybe? I suffer from this and you describe your pain exactly as mine is joed
