Here,s hoping it all good for you .

Jane I know it's not easy to fill out the forms :(

I have only ever been awarded Lower care and now I have an under active thyroid which is very high and I'm climbing the walls as I found out that my blood test has had no change in the last 4 months and my doctor has also up my new med she also explained that my meds are not working at the moment but my body feels like it's in withdrawal

Nicky ,,,, I know, total nightmare,! I filled mine in myself, that's what I get the low amount, and I got an overactive Thyroid, .

you say your body is in withdrawl, your meds not working ,

I remember that well ,but just at the start , when I was first diagnosed with Thyroid problem, it took a long while for meds to kick in, when I found out about the Fibro in January my pain killers I take for a back problem didn't work, I cant say how many times the pain killers have been changed at the GP.

this condition is a horror isn't it

I know what you mean Jane

My fibromyalgia started 2001

I was diagnosed in 2003 🤒

It's horrible just having the fibromyalgia I have enough problems with that and now the under active thyroid which isn't helping as I have gained so much wait in the last six months which isn't helping the fibromyalgia and my newest symptom is I wake up feeling like I'm drowning and I can't breathe I have had this about 8 times in the last few months

Having an overactive thyroid can be scary too Have you got it under control now?

Nicky 😊

I think Arymretep is spot on, keep a diary of your symptoms day to day, but I would strongly suggest that you get your local CAB to help you fill in any forms as they are so well versed in filling them in, in the way which will get you the most help possible.

Sending lots of positive vibes your way 😊😊

I can see that you have been given some wonderful advice, and as Foggy says it may help to discuss this with the CAB. I want to genuinely and sincerely wish you all the best of luck.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Yep just write how you feel each day. Or if anything new pops up.

Indeed write it all down as you see it. But get a carer, friend or relative to check it over. We often adapt and accept things as normal that are not and should be put on the form. Such as arranging furniture around the house, others doing shopping, trouble with house hold chores, hot water etc. Every point counts so please be vigilant!

Regards Patrick

I think these pip people are going to the extreme at the moment with everyone, I know they are trying to rule out the ones who aren't really ill, but it is hindering the ones that are. Good luck with your diary, hope it helps you.x

hope they really dont want you to keep a dairy its hard work all those cows .

a diary well just start at the beginning from the mo you wake and put down how you re when you swing your legs out the bed and you feel the first pain for the day . then the walking to the loo im my case hip pain pack pain elbow pain feet pain the getting up and down off the loo the effort and pain to get in out the shower using the handrail that youve now installed the pain in getting dried dressed and by the time your trying to dry your hair your exhausted.that the first half hr of the day and thats how it goes . till you crawl to bed at night . i literally crawl upstairs and spend a good part of the evening on my hands and knees as the pain in my hips has become unbearable to stand up is purgatory . i need to move constantly other wise i sezeup completely . getting in out the car involves teeth gritting movement . hanging out washing arm pain etc etc etc in other word everthing you do is affected by the pain . your in pain all the time-- state it . even when you turn in your sleep . we tend to forget the last pain as we move on to the next painfull thing we do-- its a bit like child birth painful but easily forgotten its the same with fibro we lurch from one painful moment to the next forgetting one as its replaced by another . . its not till your tired that it all becomes all encompassing pain .. .. i think you will have the drift by now . hope this helps . write it all down in half hrs blocks . it will shock you as to how your actually coping and living with this much maligned illness . kind regrds pgp

Hi keep a diary logging all the activity Yuo have done (excercise or household chores etc), pain severity level and where it is on your body, also what you have eaten that day and leave a section at the end of the table to highlight types of food that are dairy, wheat and gluten as these types of foods seem to flare up our condition. Many fibromyalgia sufferers have these sensitivities as opposed to allergies to foods which can cause inflammatory bowel syndrome. Also alcohol intake strangely I now can't tolerate alcohol since having . Also write your symptoms of that day ,dizziness, nausea etc. Hope that helps! Good luck.
