I am having a very difficult time just now. The pain and exhaustion is overwhelming, probably made worse by recent cancer surgery, more likely the weather. But, what i am finding most difficult is the almost constant migraines, I cant concentrate, think straight, do anything and am getting more agitated. Any suggestions?

Hi my friend, I am so genuinely sorry to read this and I really feel for you, as you know I have very bad migraines and so I genuinely sympathise that you are having them constantly. I know that you have specialised migraine medications, and I was wondering if these were not working for you at the moment? If not, there are others but sadly you may have to wait to see somebody about them? I am using Sumatriptan for mine, and I have good results with it.
I sincerely hope that you are recovering okay after your cancer surgery? You have been through so much just recently and I genuinely hope that things go really well for you my friend. Please take care of yourself and I sincerely wish that I could be of more use to you with some answers.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
Thank you so much for replying Ken, I hoped you would as I know you are similarly affected. Sometimes, just knowing you are not alone is a a help too. Just wondered if you had any tips for stsying calm when feeling besieged ?
So sorry to read that you're having a bad time with migraines, maybe you need to relax, it seems that you're quite stressed.
I don't find migraine medication helpful and need a Dr to give an injection. Most of mine are motion induced and prevention is better than cure when they are predictable.
Different types of migraines require different treatment. You really do need to get on top of this.
Be gentle with yourself
Thanks telynores for replying unfortunately its the other way round, I am getting stressed by the nonstop migraines. I used to have to inject myself but have been on nasal spray medication for a couple of years now. A lot of the migraines are hormonal, I have just found out I have a prolapsed womb and am going through menopause so gp has recommended a hysterectomy, hence even more migraines. If I could just get a grip on them, its a constant cycle of pain, medication, sleep, pain, medication...
Thinking of you, I have been in your situation and it does get easier over time. It could be that you have a lot of pent up emotion and stress and it is coming out as migraines. Mine didn't really reduce until the first all clear ct scan a year after.
Try not to worry too much, I know, easier said than done!
Sending you a big soft hug.
Xx
Thanks for replying Bluebell. I have already been told that surgery removed everything, so thats one less worry. But if you read reply above to Telynores you'll see why the migraines are out of control. Thanks very much for hug really needed at moment.
